This is related to Travelodge the company and its website. Not the hotel itself, as I NEVER STAYED THERE! Can't seem to write a review about Travelodge as a company? I booked direct from Terriblelodge website. I entered the area I wanted, nr Winchester, then selected the date of my stay, which was today's date as I had a last minute job booked 3hrs from home 1st thing next day. I selected date, (today) and 1 night, the Web page refreshed and showed 8 hotels nearby AVAILABLE! So I scrolled down and selected the hotel I wanted and proceeded to book it. However!!! Despite selecting the date and stay, the Web page deliberately select 8 hotels for the following Sunday, 1 week away!!! The Web page is AWARE, these are the wrong dates, as it specified the hotels were for another day than the one I selected. this in small and not obvious writing! but as the natural reaction is to scroll down. I missed the 'small print', selected the hotel, and proceeded to book it. It at no point, did it ask me to select the dates of stay again. And I didn't read the summary as I was in a hurry. They refused to cancel and give me my money back. I couldn't book the cancelation option because it was after 12 on day i thought I'd booked it for. The Web site is knowingly flawed because it specifically and KNOWINGLY selected a date I HADNT picked. It KNEW this was the wrong date, as it did say, but it wasn't obvious. I am at fault for not checking, but the DELIBERATE mistake is with Travelodge for having a Website that KNOWINGLY changes the date to a different one selected! Why show 8 hotels stays that WERENT for the stay I had selected!?? I rang to explain but the booking office weren't interested and wouldn't change the date because it was short notice (and i hadnt selected cancelation option as it was already after 12pm), even though they offered me another room at full price and tried to charge me a £2.50 booking fee. I rebooked with another hotel because Travelodge don't care.
