The Residence @ Jaipur

Disgusting. Stains all over the walls, skirting boards, bath and ceiling. Window frames all grimed up, Towels and bedding discoloured. Spoilt what was a fabulous day/night in the village. Couldn’t get up early enough to get out of that place.

The hotel was disgusting. We had booked 4 nights stay, and checked out the first morning. I called to speak to the manager to be told no manager will be available to speak to. The staff weren't nice. This hotel should not be aloud to be advertised.

This is not the hotel if you want space. The rooms smelt of cigarette smoke and the hotel chief was smoking in the dinning room when we arrived. The bath was dangerous because it was too high to step into and get out of. The beds were clean but cramped. Insufficient toiletries provided for 3 people.

Felt compelled to leave my review to give some balance to the other reviews on this site. I booked this stay at last minute and it was the only place in my budget. Very friendly staff on arrival and check-in was prompt. The room was relatively basic but very clean, the bathroom was lovely and may have been recently updated with the shower being surprisingly good. The towels were basic, one was heavily stained and should be replaced, complimentary shower gel and shampoos were provided. Plenty of t&c sachets and uht milks, smart TV on the wall. The two lamps over the beds didn't work / blown bulbs, but the main light and another lamp did. Room could do with a couple of water glasses. The beds (1 double 1 single) were very comfortable and the pillows and duvets were lovely. At 10pm on a Saturday evening the building was silent, no noise from other rooms, the restaurant or anywhere else. The carpet leading to the the rooms could be deep cleaned and the room and corridors could do with a repaint. There was a microwave in the corridor which was great for morning's porridge. Considering the reviews and based on the price, I was really pleased with my visit and would stay again.
