The room was in terrible condition. Absolutely filthy. Had not been cleaned in some time, never seen dust like it. Carpet was stained everywhere, as were the walls. Clearly a serious damp problem. The smell in the air was extremely stale. Refused to stay and found accommodation elsewhere. Would never recommend. So disappointed.

Awful ! The rooms are disgusting and not clean . Paper peeling off walls , mould on ceiling, mould on walls , skirting boards mould & thick dust /dirt, broken lampshade with holes in it , rust at base of lamp tv jumping continuously, light pull in bathroom disgusting deep brown stained .Stains on carpets and smells omitting , trip hazard when go in room as the carpet has bunched up ( creased up ) mould around windows .hair ball and filth on bathroom floor where hadn't been cleaned at all , around the toilet pure dirt /scum absolutely disgusting . I'm sure their is probably more , but honestly we arrived late after such a busy day & we should have left straight away but had no where to go ! The bed was the ONLY clean thing in the room. We did however leave in the morning ASAP without so much as a shower or bath , as it just wasn't fit for purpose . Nothing absolutely nothing ,could make us stay here again and if you've booked ~cancel your thank me !

We walked out after 10 mins. Place needs a whole new refurbishment. Stains all over the carpets and even on the ceiling lampshade. Strange smell everywhere. Downstairs the floor was sticky with beer.Not accessible for the aged. Stay only if you are desperate.

Went for food with a business colleague. Had the mixed grill which was very nice however I was told by my colleague that the rooms were below average and not very clean and overpriced. This hotel and food used to be spot on years ago until a chain took over it a few years ago.

Good food had by all, a training day for work so there was about 18-20 of us, burgers were really nice, curry were good, mixed grill was popular… Nice atmosphere for couples at one end and somewhere decent to have a pint and watch sport at the other

Room dirty not cleaned right next to extractor fan which was noisy small bed and toilet dripping all the time .someone knocking on our door at 2am I know this was a budget room but should still be clean and have a bed that is comfortable l think this is unacceptable

Worst hotel we’ve ever stayed at. We were recommended to stay here after a wedding in Margam Park but I wish we’d booked somewhere else. The rooms were old, blood stains on carpet, holes in the ceiling. The pub wasn’t much better, dirty floors, and flies.

The staff were amazing, I was greeted by a lovely women on arrival who gave me a run down of the property advising me of the nighttime alarm system and giving me dinner and breakfast times. The room was perfect for me, as a solo traveller, large bathroom and single bed with a tv, albeit a small one. Only issue was the flies in the room, although i assume the reason behind them was my late booking on the day of, and that the window was opened to air out the room before my arrival however i did still have to waft about 8 flies out of the room. Breakfast again was lovely, and staff once again lovely and accomodation, making sure I had everything I needed.

Horrible experience, The hotel doesn’t keep any security or staff overnight. We used this hotel for a night stop as we were travelling to london. At 2am a drunk man starts banging in our door while we sleep, trying to get in! He got drunk from the hotel pub and no one was there when we called reception for help, even Police couldn’t get into the hotel when we called as all their doors were locked. We had no option but wait for him to stop trying to break into the room for 30minutes. Wouldn’t recommend anyone staying at this hotel, specially if you are alone or with kids!
