Stopped in for a quick dinner on a Wednesday evening. The hotel has recently refurbished the restaurant and I have to say…. It’s fabulous! My husband and I had the bang bang chicken to start. So tasty. We both had fillet steak next which came with pepper sauce, onion rings, triple cooked chips and a small amount of salad leaves. This was quite possibly the best steak I’ve ever had. So juicy and a chargrilled taste. We will definitely be back!

We had a refurbished room which had a view out to the city. Room was a nice size and beds were comfy. There is NO aircon at this hotel. The room was so warm and stuffy we had to open out the window full all day and night. Would be ok in the winter but unbearable in summer and no fan! Staff were all very young and they weren’t that friendly. I booked a treatment with the spa and found it hard to access it you had to walk through the gym where people were working out and she. I asked the receptionist she basically shouted at me and pointed at a door when I got into the spa there was no one there and over ten mins had gone by before the girl came. Out of the room to greet me. The therapist was a lovely person but talked throughout the whole treatments which is exactly what I didn’t come to spa for. The breakfast was good and replenished right up to 10am but staff couldn’t wait to take your plate off you. The restaurant bar food was expensive for what it was and I personally didn’t like it-we ordered scampi and it was very greasy and was made with frozen prawns and just was thrown together…definitely not hotel standard. Room service was a joke and terrible. I rang at half 9 they didn’t have anything advertised no pizzas no fries nothing only had cold sandwiches I asked could I have a toastie they said no the oven was broken? We paid 30 pound for two cold ham sandwiches and two cokes we should have got a food delivery but I’ve had a hotel room service before and it’s usually restaurant quality. It also took about an hour for them to come up with two sandwiches. I don’t think I would stay again or use the spa again but overall it wasn’t terrible for what we paid.

Das Haus der Tailor befindet sich in einer schönen, ruhigen kleinen Stadt, eine echte Suche. Warm willkommen und nichts war zu viel Problem. Das Zimmer war wunderschön und das Badezimmer riesig. Alles war spotless und das Bett war sehr komfortabel. Ich konnte nicht das Essen proben, da das Restaurant derzeit am Wochentag geschlossen ist, aber wenn ich Glück genug, um hier zurückzukommen, hoffe ich, es wird am Wochenende, da das Restaurant so einladend erscheint. Der große Schrei an Emmett (der Besitzer) hätte er nicht mehr tun können, um meinen Aufenthalt so groß zu machen wie es war.
