Das recht übersichtliche moderne und luxuriöse Hotel (Mitglied von LHW) hat mich mal wieder als "Gesamtpaket" voll überzeugt. Es wurde direkt an den Steilklippen mit spektakulärem Blick auf die Altstadt von Dubrovnik gebaut und zählt für mich zu den besten Hotels in Kroatiens. Jedes Zimmer hat einen Balkon oberhalb des türkisblauen Meeres und ist vom Interieur in edlen Weiß- und Grautönen gehalten; die Privatsphäre wir groß geschrieben.....Entscheidend für mich ist immer wieder, dass auch bei kleineren Problemen das Management ehrlich & kurzfristig bemüht ist, eine akzeptable Lösung für mich (bzw. unserer fünfköpfigen Familie) zu finden; somit der Gast immer im Vordergrund steht. Auch dieser Servicegedanke wird hier excellent realisiert. Hervorheben möchte ich noch den Concierge Service, der u.a. eine Bootstour organisierte, und das zu einem top Preis- Leistungsverhältnis. Aber auch für reine Erholungsuchende bietet das Hallenbad bzw. der Hotelstrand direkt am Meer fantastische Voraussetzungen. Zu guter letzt möchte ich das wirklich fantastische Restaurant erwähnen, was m.E: einen Stern verdient hätte; wirklich große Klasse... Wir kommen ganz bestimmt wieder, zumal die Entfernung vom Flughafen in 20 Minuten zu schaffen ist und das Hotel nach unseren Informationen noch in diesem Herbst zusätzlich renoviert werden soll.

I had heard wonderful things about the hotel however I was disappointed. This was definitely not a "luxury" experience. I booked one of their ocean view deluxe rooms. When I first got to my room there were ants crawling all over the bathroom. Housekeeping came up and sprayed (photo of spray left in case they came back) which did clear up the problem but was definitely put off. The bathroom and shower were awful. To shower you had to climb into a tub and there was only a small hand held nozzle. Nothing Luxurious here! The Parking was an issue and there is not an attendant to help. Finally the hotel is not that close to town and you have to walk down a narrow path with cars and motorcycles speeding passed. The shuttle does not start running until after 3 PM and then only once an hour. For the money that was charged I have had better service and bathrooms in a Holiday Inn!

Gorgeous hotel, perfect size! Wonderful staff and service. Amazing views, breakfast. All was excellent! We explored the city and surrounding towns. The restaurants were fabulous. Milan the bartender was a standout!

We absolutely loved this hotel. We were here for 3 nights so we really had a chance to get to know the hotel. It is close to the old city ( walkable) and offers a hourly shuttle to and from the city gates. It is on crystal clear water with nice lounge decks and wonderful restaurants. The hotel is a great size where you get to know the staff and they you. Everyone was very attentive and the views from all areas of the hotel were incredible. This was our first stop on a two week trip. We will definitely return and recommend it to all our friends.

Amazing location 15 minutes distance from the heart of Dubrovnik. Wonderful very polite people and great food! Rooms are very spacious with beautiful views to the old town and the sea. Cant wait to come back soon!

This hotel was amazing. The restaurant here had the best food i had the entire trip. We ate breakfast, lunch, and dinner here. The fews were also so gorgeous from the room and from the restaurant. It’s also an easy little walk to the old town. 10/10

The service at V D is exceptional, amongst the best I've received. The food is excellent, both at the bar, on the terrace and in the restaurant. The rooftop bar is superb with amazing views of the old town. While we were there we were able to swim in the sea for a couple of the days but it then got too rough. The swimming pool is indoor with opening doors. Our room was very clean and tidy and in very good order - I understand there is a major refurb about to commence. There is a shuttle bus that takes less than 5 mins into the old town dropping you near the Plates Gate. Overall I wouldn't hesitate to return (if I can afford it after the refurb)!

We came for a three night stay as a base to explore Dubrovnik before moving on and booked what they call their “standard suite". We loved:- - the location of the hotel. Close to the action, but removed enough to be quiet. - the staff. They all went out of their way to be helpful & friendly. - the food. On our first night we eat in and found the quality of the food really good. - our suite. Which was, for us, exactly what we wanted. It only caught the afternoon sun and then late in the day. But being the 4th floor you had great views of the old town and the sunset. Overall, a really lovely experience. So would we go back - YES. Now I know they’re about to close for a big refurb and can understand why. Certain areas and things do need a refresh and updating.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was well equipped and the view was incredible. The massage I had in the spa was very good, the breakfast was nice and so was the bar menu food, I probably wouldn't bother with the main restaurant next time.
