We stayed at Grand Ambassador Hotel from 12th May to 13th May 2026 and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience during checkout. We were charged AED 91 for a very minor blood stain on a pillowcase, which happened because of my husband’s beard after shaving. We understand hotel policies regarding damages, but charging such a high amount for a small washable stain felt unreasonable and unexpected. What made the situation worse was the behaviour of the reception staff member, Ms. Sabita. When we politely tried to explain the situation and requested reconsideration, her attitude was rude and unprofessional. Instead of handling the matter respectfully, she repeatedly insisted that we had to pay the charge without properly explaining the policy. Since we were in a hurry, we paid the amount, but we left feeling very disappointed. On the other hand, we would like to appreciate the hotel bar staff working during the night shift, who were extremely respectful, friendly, and welcoming. We had booked two rooms, 509 and 510, and also spent money at the hotel bar. This was not our first stay at your hotel, which makes this experience even more upsetting. We have stayed at many hotels before and have never encountered such a situation over a minor stain. We kindly request the management to explain the reason behind such excessive charges and also ensure that front desk staff are trained to communicate with guests professionally and respectfully. Sadly, this experience ruined our visit, and based on this incident, we would not recommend this hotel to others.
