Knockaloe BEG Farm

We got washed out of a campsite due to torrentential wind and rain. We were lucky enough to hear about the possibility of some room at Knockaloe Beg and so rode up there to make an enquiry. Fiona couldn’t have been more welcoming and found us two rooms. It was a welcome relief from our suffering the night before and we easily dried all our kit etc. Breakfast was fantastic with lots of local produce and home made bread, sausages, preserves etc I really can’t say enough about how welcoming and friendly this place is!

What a fabulous experience. More than a birthday weekend stay with my mum. A very homely B&B with comfy beds and a lovely lounge dining area where we met fellow travellers. Delicious breakfasts with food from local producers, homemade jams and facilities to make tea coffee as well as a microwave for a lazy night in after a long day exploring. Fiona was very welcoming. Helping to feed the lambs and piglets and ducks was well worth getting up early for! The farm is very close to Peel yet quiet with with great views. Only a 15min walk up Peel Hill or a 30min walk into Peel harbour. Ideal location to get around the Island with plenty of parking and advice on getting around. Nothing is to much for the hosts John and Fiona. They have created something very special from the old farm buildings. We will definitely return and would highly recommend as greater value over a self catering option, of which there are plenty. Thankyou for a memorable stay!

My daughter and I have been wanting to stay in the Wigwams at Knockaloe Farm for a while, and we finally got round to booking 2 nights here over Easter. The Wigwams are so cozy and surprisingly spacious. Out the front is a beautiful green for the children to play and behind is a field with sheep and lambs. It’s so idyllic and a real peaceful environment that you instantly feel relaxed when you arrive. We went over to the farm for 12:30 and fed the lambs which was lovely. Farmer John was kind enough to bring out one of the ponies for my daughter to see. The hot tub is fab and takes a few hours to heat up, but wow it gets hot! It’s great!! On our second day we went over to the farm to have a walk around and met Farmer Jen! She is just wonderful and always so friendly. She was great with my daughter and let her feed one of the piglets. Nothing is too much trouble and everyone you meet there are super friendly and are very accommodating. The weather on the first night was wild with heavy rain and winds, but it was so cozy and warm in the wigwam, they really are great to stay in, in all weather. I highly recommend staying in one of the WigWams. It’s truly a special experience.

Excellent location with fantastic communication from Fiona. Relaxing setting with lots of walks around the wigwam. Great value for money, all equipment we required was available. The wigwams were very clean comfortable cosey and warm. We will be returning very soon xx

This is not a typical bread and breakfast. You know the moment you walk in the door that you are somewhere different. There is a warmth that can only come from the human spirit and it is felt in abundance the moment you walk through the door. This place will transport you and leave you a better person. We were particularly grateful to spend time with 10/10 Jen, who made the most incredible breakfasts (straight from the farm), showed genuine curiosity and enthusiasm about our lives, and let us feed and engage with the animals. She was amazing and inspiring. We can’t recommend this enough. We actually changed plans to spend more time there on our last day, despite our relatively short stay on the island.

Really enjoyed our stay, Fiona and Jen were fantastic and very helpful, couldn't have asked for better hosts! The perfect location for anyone wanting a nice quiet holiday with great views and only 2 miles away from Peel. We had the Bluebell room which is the smallest but it was more than suitable for 2 people and included a huge bathroom with shower. The breakfast was amazing with a selection of cooked English breakfast and a continental breakfast. Jen's homemade bread was brilliant. We were given free homemade flapjack as well which was a nice treat and tasted lovely. Overall a great atmosphere and excellent value for what you get included in the price. Highly recommend staying here. Would more than happily stay here again.

Fantastic experience- most hospitable such a unique stay with access to the farm activities if we wanted - a stunning venue and such a warm welcome- would highly recommend- oh and the breakfasts are incredible!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Wigwam! It was beautiful, with amazing views and such a peaceful, silent atmosphere at night. The room was very cosy, and we were especially impressed by how comfortable the beds were. The kitchen had all the necessary equipment, and the hot-tub was awesome! We also had some very special furry visitors! As cat lovers, we absolutely loved having them around. All the staff were incredibly friendly and professional. We had a fun, relaxing, and truly enjoyable weekend. We would definitely love to come back and highly recommend this place!

We stayed 3 nights at the B&B what a beautiful farm! Fiona and the family couldn’t do enough for you. The bedrooms are lovely well equipped with hair dryer, toiletries, kettle tea coffee and lovley home made flapjacks ! The beds were comfy and the skylight was fab waking up and looking out to the animals each morning, my daughter loved it! Home cooked breakfasts everything was locally sourced and a mixture of continental. There was a place to relax downstairs at night also if you wished. The farmer was also great he took us out to feed the animals which was a nice touch. Thankyou for a lovley stay !
