Durdle Door Hotel

Excellent small hotel with friendly staff. We had a wonderful break at Durdle Door Hotel this past week. It is brilliantly located for the beach and the various coast paths. The parking was easy with the special permit for the car park opposite and it had the bonus that we could also park at Durdle Door and Lulworth Castle with the same permit. We look forward to returning later this year.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights and had a fantastic time. The hotel is really charming, clean and the continental breakfast was delicious. All of the staff were super friendly and helpful and we cannot thank them enough for making our stay so enjoyable. The hotel is situated in such a beautiful part of the world. I would suggest if you struggled with stairs you should request a room on the ground floor as there were a few stairs to climb to get to our rooms, but apart from the that we would highly recommend this delightful hotel.

We had a really enjoyable stay at West Lulworth House, blessed by truly magnificent weather with not a cloud in the sky! We were welcomed on arrival by Mark, the Manager, who very kindly gave us an upgrade to a beautiful room with a sea view. The room was very comfortable and the shower very clean! We had excellent continental breakfasts including a wide selection of cereals, yoghourt, mini croissant and pain au chocolat, and fresh fruit. We were well looked after by Paul on both mornings. The coffee was excellent! Parking the car was challenging for unpacking and packing up the car but we did have the luxury of parking across the road in the car park at reduced rates! Thank you Mark and Paul for an enjoyable time!

We enjoyed a four-day walking break with HF Holidays at West Lulworth House. This charming Victorian hotel, situated in the perfect location around 200 m from Lulworth Cove, is a credit to managers Mark and Lisa. We stayed in Room 4 on the first floor, which has double aspect windows to the front of the property and a view to the sea. The room was very comfortable and immaculately clean, with nice cotton bedding and fluffy towels. There was a wide choice of delicious home-cooked breakfast and dinner taken in the attractive, modern 'orangery' dining area, and packed lunches are provided to take on your walk. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the two enthusiastic walk leaders, Angela and John, had extensive local knowledge; they clearly love this stretch of the Jurassic coast. This hotel is smaller and cosier than most of HF's properties around the UK and a real 'jewel in its crown', so we were both surprised and deeply disappointed to learn that HF will not be keeping it in their portfolio after October 2022. We would have so loved to return ...

A wonderful walking holiday. The hotel was fantastic, beautiful room with an amazing view. Breakfast first class and all food very good. Great bunch of people and lovely walking guides. Lovely people running the hotel as well. It is just a shame that HF are misleading their customers with regards to the pool which has not been open this season at all but it is still advertised.
