The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Finding the mosquito net was set and removed on time, I could sense a motherly touch! My friend could arrange a sushi party there for us, too. Highly recommendable place for enjoying holiday!

I spent a week-end with my family at this gem of the Indian Ocean. The jetty in the middle of the tourquois waters rest imprinted in our memories as well as the charming hospitality of the staff. Great Italian food and night entertainment! Well done!!

If you are looking for places to just lay, enjoy the views, drink your drinks, listen to some music, swim to cool yourself down, sunbathe and just have a real vacation this is just the place. Drinks are not expensive and are made of fresh fruit.

Amazong place, I was there with my family. An unforgettable experience.. The beach is so nice and the pier is so romantic. Food is incredible and I still very well remember their fantastic spaghetti with bottarga created by Chef Salvatore. Staff is so kind… Top quality, top food, top everything… please go to discover this incredible place!!

My best get away place in the East coast! Love the food, the waiters. Chef Salvatore is the best! Always making sure the food has what it takes before reaching on one’s plate! He never missed a buffet! Love the jetty! It is one to die for. If you are looking into unwinding and contemplating what life has to offer this jetty gives you the perfect ambiance for that!

I and my wife stayed at this four star hotel for a week on a conference trip. This hotel’s beautiful environment including picturesque beaches, very helpful and kind staff and great food lifted this hotel’s rate to a ten star hotel. In short, enjoyed everything.

Dongwe resort! I mean a place to be whenever you are visiting Zanzibar...A all in one Resort has got you covered when it comes to their very very good cuisines,a refreshing wonderful ambience with a view of the sea .Talk of the lake like big swimming pool,very warm and welcome staff.... everything you need ,you get ...Ask and get.... Can't wait to visit again and book my staycation!

I have spent here 8 days with my daughter. My first trip was 20 years ago to this hotel. Absolutely recommended. This hotel is about 4* for the European standard. But in my heart they are a favorite so I rated it 5*. My reasons: 1.)This is the only hotel on the beach who takes care about the seagrass. The beach totally cleaned every day, so the sand is really white, beautiful like on the postcards! 2.) The food is tasty, the terrace has special atmosphere and we loved the meals there. 3.) The Italian animation team was perfect my daughter , we liked their games (specially Lorenzo took care of us although we don’t speak Italian just English). 4.) The rooms would need some renovation but they are quite big and we haven’t seen any insects! 5.) Friendly , helpful staff. 5+1) This hotel has a jetty. Wonderful , relaxing place. I hope we can return back to this amazing place!!!

this is the best hotel in Zanzibar. I was there in March and the weather was great. I'm not a person who goes back to hotels but this hotel was so wonderful that I'm already planning to come back. The food is delicious because it is a combination of Italian and Tanzanian cuisine. Carbonara is especially delicious. There are monkeys and lizards in the hotel, but they are harmless. the rooms are sprayed against mosquitoes every day. The beach is beautiful. For $15 you can go on a scooter trip and explore the surrounding landscapes. comfortable beds. daily animations in Italian that united other nationalities. you can buy coconuts at the hotel. clean room, cleaned thoroughly every day. I recommend this hotel to everyone
