As mentioned in previous review, this motel is not trying to be something it isn't, a great cheap stopover with friendly staff . I arrived an hour before check-in and my room was ready which was great. I haven't tried the restaurant so can't comment on the food.

I stayed in this hotel in April 2024, and on my arrival home I found that I had a parking ticket for having parked my car in their car park. When I checked in I gave the receptionist my car registration number, and therefore I expected that they would then be registering my car, because otherwise why would they have asked for the reg number? I simply believed that like most hotels the staff have a console on their side of the desk that they then type the number in to. It would appear that this is not the case! When I phoned up to state I had a ticket all I got told was that there is a big sign and an ipad that I should have put my details into. The staff clearly know this but don't physically tell their guests to ensure that they have understood that the onus is completely up on them, and they take your reg number for a reason that has nothing to do with booking you into the car park. I have tried to email them to say that it is their fault and I should not be paying anything, but have received no follow up. I have then called them, and have been told that a large number of guests have been in contact to say that they too have had fines, therefore I am not the only one, which indicates that this hotel is knowingly not taking care of their guests interests appropriately. To top it all off, the hotel can get the ticket cancelled, however you have to pay £30. So when faced with the choice of a £100 fine, reduced to £60 if you pay in 14 days, or paying the hotel £30 so that they can cancel the ticket, there is little choice. Stay clear of this hotel, or be prepared for a parking fine.

I registered at reception when i got there and gave my car reg details , a week later i get a parking charge. When i rang them the woman on reception was totally unhelpful and blamed me for not registering properly, as I wasn 't told you needed to register on the ipad when you got there - which I could not see. Apart from that the bathroom had cobwebs in it !.

I highly recommend not staying in this hotel. I booked my dad in as a last resort and was really disappointed with the room and service, in fact disappointed is an understatement., It was that bad he refused to sleep there. There was urine stains all over the mattress , holes in the curtains and smelt fusty, the list goes on. Marks out of ten ??? A good old solid 0. I would sooner sleep rough, the only people I would recommend this place to is the pest control. Also no re-fund , so it cost me £170 to walk into a toxic room. I was Point blank refused a re- fund and to top things off as soon as I left they re advertised the room for an extra £20 per night 😂

This venue is in dire need of a refurb & TLC. As previous reviews have stated sound proofing bad. Could hear people in room above till 2.15am in morning ! Also traffic from motorway early hours. Pillows were cheap, one single bed creaked so much during night should be tipped. Decor sad & dated and had holes on bathroom wall filled with caulk. Shower althou old powerful & hot and heater in main room warmed room. Won’t be returning as for what we paid £65 ( this was with discount) for the night not good.

In desperate need of modernisation. Plenty of free parking. situated in the middle of an industrial estate. Apart from a few cobwebs very clean. Breakfast is continental but rather than help yourself you ask a staff member for the components. Small but adequate bar. Although rooms are advertised as being from £35 we paid £91.20, they know how to charge when there is an event on

This motel doesn't have guests, it has victims, whilst it is administered, as they have became known as, by Adolf, Heinrich & Hermann, they don't greet guests with a smile but with a snarl. The rooms offer little soundproofing from room to room, side, back and above or below, the doors between adjoining rooms must have cardboard insides so poor is their soundproofing whilst the partially timbered front wall, window and door offer little soundproofing from persons outside smoking whatever substances they may be smoking nor the traffic noise from the M18 motorway, nor the losistics LGV1 truck park, that this dump is immediately adjacent to. Trees make for excellent soundproofing against traffic noise but some bright spark, or sparks, decided to either trim back all the trees to basic trunks or fell them totally, 'soundproofing what soundproofing', another word that has been deleted from this place's dictionary. This place changed it's name from the Restover Lodge because the reputation was so bad, still the same ownership trading under a different identity, this place is at the very end of an industrial estate cul-de-sac that is littered with discarded alcohol containers, used contraceptives, even bloodied sanitary towels whilst this place clearly recognise that they have an illegal substances problem because their own staff, illegally, administer guest room searches looking for the same. We would rather sleep in a tent than stay at this dump again.
