Bayside Inn

The most beautiful sunrises and most delicious home cooked breakfasts are at Bayside Inn in Digby, Nova Scotia. Angela and her staff took such great care of us during our stay. If we’re ever back in this area, we’ll definitely stay here again. Beautiful hydrangeas welcome you from the front garden before you even step inside. The sun porch entry is so cozy and welcoming. The dining room is filled lovely antiques and china. Hot breakfast was scrumptious each morning. And our coffee cups were kept filled. Our room #3 was very comfy and we had a beautiful view of the bay. That claw foot tub brought back memories of my grandma’s house. The closet isn’t huge but that wasn’t a problem for us. No air conditioning but the evenings were in the 60’s so the room fans were enough to keep us comfortable. The free WiFi is strong. I was able to work from my laptop every morning. The absolute only negative for some people might be no elevator. My knees are still ok and my hubby’s strong so we were able to manage getting our luggage upstairs with no problems. Overall this was a fabulous experience and I can’t brag on Bayside Inn enough!!!!

Bayside Inn is very well located; you cross the street and are on the waterfront. By the time we arrived the tide was low; the view is impressive. The check-in was quick and smooth. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable.The breakfast was delicious. I highly recommend this property. While in Digby we went for a whales watching tour and definitely tried the scallops.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was a bonus and very nice. Digby itself is so accessible from here across the road from the water. Everyone at the hotel were very friendly. Parking is easy and walking distance to a selection of restaurants.

The Bayside Inn was a perfect stopover for us after taking the ferry from St John. It's right in the center of town & an easy walk to restaurants in Digby. The Inn was nice. We enjoyed sitting on the front enclosed porch. Our room had a large bathroom & a comfy bed. The breakfast was ok. I'm not a fan of French Toast. I asked for a simple egg instead & the chef said she couldn't do that. Might want to ask about bfast options when you arrive. I didn't, so that was my fault.

Quaint, peaceful & excellent waterfront location. Angela was a wonderful host and a wealth of information. Breakfasts were a very nice experience. Nearby restaurant locations are very walkable. Easy trip to hiking in the National park and nearby coves.

Immediately felt welcomed by owner on arrival. Answered our countless questions and had recommendations on where to go, what to see & local events. Perfect location to walk the main boardwalk facing the water. Started our days with an included hot breakfast either in the breakfast room or on the front porch. Had some amazing dinners within a couple of minutes walk on the waterfront. Walked the wharf and chatted with local fishermen and saw seals. Great size bedroom & bathroom. Comfy beds & pillows. We were on the third floor with 1 queen & 1 double bed, private ensuite & oceanview. No elevator so we got our steps in. Highly recommend this B&B, would definitely stay there again. Thank you to Angela for making our stay one to remember.

We enjoyed our one night stay at The Bayside Inn in Digby. Angela was a fine hostess and very responsive to our e-mails when we were planning our trip out east. The inn was a short drive from the Digby ferry terminal and the room was clean, quiet and comfortable with a nice view of the harbour. There was ample free parking across the street and the included breakfast was very good. Angela recommended several restaurants within walking distance (we ended up at the Sidney Street Pub and Cafe for an excellent dinner featuring the famed local scallops). The picture was taken on a pre-breakfast run by the local docks. We would not hesitate to recommend the Bayside Inn to friends planning to visit southern Nova Scotia.
