The Pemberton Hotel

The rooms are dated and there is no wifi in the rooms. The hotel says free wifi and even gives you a wifi password. But because of the rammed earth walls you can’t get wifi in your room. Boosters in every room would fix the problem but when I spoke to the manager about this issue he basically said to bad.

Spent a lovely hour on the hotel balcony with a great cold beer and lunch. Salmon was beautiful and the special steak sandwich was excellent. Broke up our trip through the Forrest well. Traditional old pub. Shame the had sold out as would have bought a beer cooler.

Excellent food, friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere. The roast of the day (lamb) was a very generous portion, tender and tasty. The salmon (special of the day) was perfectly cooked. All very enjoyable. The hotel was quite busy, but service was quick and efficient - prices were reasonable.

The rooms are very spacious and very clean. We had a room with a nice balcony with a tree view. The rooms have loads of storage space, well equipped with mini fridge, kettle, crockery and generous supply of tea/coffee and dishwashing liquid and tea towels were provided which was very convenient. The room has good lighting and a fan, in addition to the reverse cycle air conditioner. Decent amount of clothes hangers which is rare in a hotel/motel. The bathroom is large, very clean and well ventilated. Loads of storage and bench space and I liked the large sink. Environmentally friendly toiletries. Ample supply of clean towels and a decent hair dryer. The beds are very comfortable, with nice pillows and crisp linens and the rooms had decent sound proofing, so you got a decent night sleep. Plenty of onsite parking, restaurant and bar. Very welcoming and efficient check in. Good value, nice hotel.

My sister,son and I went there for lunch today, 5.11.24. Being Melbourne cup we expected it to be busy,that's fine, however,to organise a terrible fashion parade ,mostly of used clothes, right alongside people who have paid to eat their lunch,is annoying. But what is unacceptable is that I got asked to move from my seat,in the middle of my meal, and to sit under a low hanging shrub in a planter, that's just plain not on. I refused, I'm not eating with my head in a bush, and for that I was ridiculed and passive aggressively made fun of,that's just unforgivable. If they can't organise their catwalk so it doesn't impact diners,that's not my problem. And then to be humiliated by those so called models,and I use that term generously, that's simply disgusting. I paid for a meal, and expect to eat my meal without being treated like that. On top of that,the quality of the food has slipped markedly in the last 5 years, my lunch was unpalatable. Never again,I will never go there again. If they won't look after their customers, and treat people like that,then I will have no part of it. Cannot recommend this pub at all

Nice cold beer on a warm day. Bar staff were very pleasant. Food was very good. The roast beef was very tender served with a good range of vegetables. The battered fish & chips was very nice. We have eaten here many times before & always had a good meal. Highly recommend.
