Athirige Private Villa

This place is really good, clean, nice design. The Sri Lankan chef makes fantastic food. We had a bit of a misunderstanding with dinner as we had already paid through trip but it was cleared quickly. We used them to organize a whole day of snorkeling sadly we only saw a turle, due not being the season for mantas nor whale sharks. They took us to an empty island with white sand and crystal blue sea, it was lovely. I think the lunch could have been better but it was a great day. We also went night fishing, we only caught one fish but another couple caught four! Again it was nice being out in the seat night, we then went back to the hotel and the chef grilled the fish we caught! We were very happy with our stay!

It was our first trip to Maldives and we were prepared to meet strangers and view local life with a half-hearted detachment. We were more excited about the turquoise water and the beaches. However, we were unexpectedly pleasantly surprised. We fell in love with this quaint lil place the moment we saw it! Full marks for hygiene and cleanliness, beautiful decor, well-furnished, well maintained villa with 2 charming indoor sitting areas. It boasts 5 nicely decorated rooms. The bed was soft and the sheets were fresh. There was no musty smell. The rooms are big and airy, and have all the amenities - hot/cold water in the bathroom, AC and a small fridge. The blue and white painted walls add to the charm. There is a superstore next to Athirige, which makes it convenient to buy things in no time. Athirige is managed by Mr. Nadu Upul, a smart, friendly, hardworking young man, who ensured our stay was as pleasant as possible. He not only prepared scrumptious meals for us but also attended to our every small needs. We immediately felt at home and not for second we felt like we were in a strange place, among strangers. Athirige has won our heart with its true Maldivian-style hospitality and has made a lasting impression and sweet memory for us. We are already missing it and whining to go back again to relive the entire experience once more. If you really want to experience home away from home, then Athirige Private Villa is the place. This is a place which gave me service like home. The rooms were very cozy and the friendly staffs Mr Rasheed , Mr Azum and Mr Upul treated us like family. Always stood by our side and gave us company and service was beyond expectations. Mr Rasheed and Me Azum was very helpful to my mother , Mr Upul made sure we love the food her cooked for us and he always made sure it was prepared according to our preference , would personally stay with us while we dine to make sure we enjoyed his offer . Don’t miss his cooked meals if you ever visit this hotel! Also , our room had a very comfortable bed and a cozy bathtub the hotel living room was also very comforting with vintage furnitures that resembles the history of Maldives. I would highly recommend this place ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
