Booked a 3 room suite for a family weekend, treated myself to the spa package for my birthday. Let me start the review by saying that the individual staff members are VERY good - from the front desk to the chef, pool attendant to the bellman - all are responsive, respective, and helpful. The general management of this place makes it NOT worth the money - essentially 5 start prices for 2 star experience. I booked online - issue number one - be very careful doing this. The "Total" shown on the screen turned out to be HALF of the total - you don't see this until AFTER you've paid and cannot cancel the reservation without losing that money. Everything presented made it appear that two nights would cost $1,000. It ended up being $2k Checking in, I hope you're not tired or have small kids who just want to get to the room. There are five full pages you are presented with to read/initial everywhere and sign multiple times. I swear I signed less documentation to buy my house. There's NO way anyone is actually taking the time to read and consider this thoroughly. Either sign it or lose your money and go find somewhere else to stay. This is in addition to the online documents you needed to sign. The rooms were nice - well appointed, modern, mostly clean and mostly in good repair. If it were a 2 or 300 dollar a night place, it would be absolutely fine. Problems with the room - the deck railings were filthy - don't lean your elbows on them. One of the deck chair seats was cracked. The caulking around the tub was cracked and peeling. There was nowhere to plug a charger in next to any of the beds so forget having your phone near you at night and no clocks on any of the rooms. My son's shower ran out of hot water, and he said the water pressure was very low. We heard another man complaining about the same thing at the front desk. My shower was fine. Turn your ice maker on as soon as you get in the room - there are no ice makers in the place and I guess they turn them off - because, you know, no one wants a cocktail or soda on their vacation, right? They give you ONE package of coffee for your entire stay - bring your own coffee/creamer/sugar. Again, 5-star prices, 2-star service. Again, three room suite - six adults are supposed to share one pot of coffee for a weekend. The elevators cause insanity - some go to some floors but not all and it's very easy to be in the wrong wing and not realize it. Signage OUTSIDE of the elevators would be a smart thing - list the floors, the spa, the pool, the restaurant - not just "GV" and make people guess what that means. There's a blue sign inside SOME of them - but they're so grungy you barely notice them and they're hard to read when you do. I asked a few people if they'd noticed them, and no one had. ONE elevator has clearly marked three floors - inside the elevator. Ok - there's a bar and restaurant that advertise being open until 9pm. Our first night there, we went for a night cap and they were closed a
