As soon as we booked the host made contact to tell us that they closed at 10:30 at night and if we planned to arrive later we must contact them and gave us a phone number to reach the host, Judith. I immediately replied to that email to say we would be arriving closer to midnight as our plane wasn’t scheduled to land till 10:30. Days passed. I followed up with texts, voicemails, and attempts to contact the host through their website portal. All attempts requested acknowledgment and information about how to gain entry after 10:30 pm. We received not a word of reply to any of them. On the day of travel, after again trying several times to reach the host at the phone number she had provided, I sent a final text saying that if we had received no information before our final flight boarded we would be compelled to seek other accommodation- which we did, in the end. We asked for a refund through ********** and they were refused by the ‘manager’ of the property.
