Del Mar Beach Hotel

This little hotel is an absolute jewels. We’re in town for a seminar and couldn’t get a room at the venue so we tried it his hotel. It is right on the beach. A tiny little perfect place. Clean and updated rooms, very friendly reception, cappuccino station available and bathrobes to relax. Poseidon restaurant is next door for a great dining experience. The only thing I wish this hotel had are balconies facing the ocean. We will definitely return.

I love staying at this hotel it is always clean and beautiful. The location is amazing! The only thing I hate is that they have those new fashionable sliding doors on the bathrooms. So you really don't have privacy in the bathroom at all. I'm not sure why these are a trend in a lot of hotel updates now. They really make it unappealing.

Great location. Helpful staff. The room was nice, very comfortable and spacious. The only downside is the thin walls.

Beautiful area and nice hotel. Comfortable bed, Rose upon arrival, very clean. Unfortunately, the walls and floors and not as solid as other modern hotels, so the guy in the room next to us woke us up during his business meeting. We could make out portions of his discussion I don’t think hit voice was even excessively loud. Minor Con - When they get full, you may need to shuffle your car with the free valet.

The Del Mar Beach Hotel....as always surpassed my Expectations!!! Many Hotel Improvements....Shower Great....Bed very Comfortable....and Beach Patio.,.overlooking the Pacific...was upgraded and Great Seating and Panoramic Views ....and add The Del Mar Racetrack.....for Fun and Beauty....Throw in The Nightly Sunset and Dinner 30 feet away at The Great Poisedon Restaurant.....You Have a Weekend.....Trifecta......The Staff added to a Wonderful 4 Day Getaway....!!!! We loved our stay! A perfect girls weekend getaway right on the beach, and close to restaurants and shopping. We loved the little touches - a glass of wine upon arrival, a brush outside the front door to remove sand, comfy robes. Highly recommend!

Beautiful place. Beautiful rooms. Direct beach access. Walking distance to shopping and restaurants. No breakfast BUT 24h free great coffee and water. Fresh Croissants and small cakes in the morning available to buy.

It was great, management was very responsive to what we needed. Missed getting our room cleaned a couple times, 1 time, it was partially our fault for not putting right sign on door. Followed the instructions and still missed another day. Also, besides the first day, the cleaning staff neglected to leave new cups for coffee, Clean water and wine glasses. There was one girl on staff we happened to see in the lobby that gave us a lot of information on Del Mar, and what was available, recommendations,  etc, wonderful! The receptionist didn't seem to know a whole lot about the town or activities just pointed in the direction of place to scan in lobby. Very young, that close to the track staff should know a little about it and/or current events, she did her best but that wasn't quite enough. Also, Not having even a minimal kitchen or microwave is kind of a minus. Great staycation! Staff was great - Love the sun deck and complimentary rose at check in. Location was perfect and hotel has done a great job with their remodel.
