The Pandaris is a budget hotel, the location is excellent. Bit of a rabbit warren upstairs lots of fire doors to manoeuvre in order to reach your room. Rooms are ok, comfy bed, kettle, tv. Shower over bath. We had rooms that looked out over the side road, no view as such, but quiet. The hotel has EV chargers. Current rate is 75p pkw. We had dinner in the hotel unfortunately it was rather disappointing. They had advised us they were a chef short so they were only accepting bookings from hotel residents. We ordered drinks and our food at the same time this obviously caused confusion as 20 minutes later there was still no sign of our drinks. When l wandered into the bar to chase our order at least 4 young female waitresses were all just stood around looking at their mobile phones! They didn’t realise we had ordered drinks, well one of them knew as she took the order! Our food duly arrived, the vegan curry was a success the fish and chips was not very good. The fish was super greasy and the chips seriously over cooked, cremated. We received £6 discount for the chips, a very token sum. The evening waiting staff need some basic training, no offer of seeing the dessert menu or coffee or more drinks. All basic stuff that is missing. Breakfast service and quality of food was excellent so different from dinner. If we stayed again we would eat breakfast there but eat out for dinner.
