Mike's Dauin Dive Resort Bewertungen

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit in Mike‘s Dauin Beach Resort. Unser Fokus lag klar auf dem Tauchen (mit der angeschlossenen Tauchbasis). Hier gibt es fast nur positives zu berichten. Die Guides waren freundlich, erfahren, haben unfassbar gute Augen (Stichwort: Makro) und die Boote waren einwandfrei. Die Verpflegung bei „daytrips“ nach Apo Island war sehr gut, wobei die Sauberkeit der Wasserspender etwas zu Wünschen übrig ließ. Taucherisch ist jedoch sowohl die Region, als auch Dive Center und Personal uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen. Adäquate Briefings, tolle spots, gesunde Riffe, … sehr zu empfehlen! Das Resort ist direkt am Strand gelegen, mit schönem Pool und gepflegtem Garten, die Zimmer im Resort sind jedoch eher rustikal und etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Hier wäre ein update wünschenswert, jedoch wurden sämtliche beanstandeten Mängel oder Wünsche seitens des Personal umgehend gelöst - und immer freundlich und zuvorkommend. In dem Atemzug soll erwähnt werden, dass Chester (der Resort Manager) ein absolut herzlicher, freundlicher, kompetenter und wunderbarer Gastgeber ist, der stets erreichbar ist und bei sämtlichen Fragen und Problemen (auch im Vorfeld) zügig hilfsbereit zur Seite stand! Ich wünschte das wäre überall so…. 🙂 Im Vorfeld angefragte (und gebuchte) Transfers, Scooter und Sonderwünsche haben völlig Problemlos funktioniert und uns durch die gebotene Kompetenz begeistert. Einziges Manko für mich/uns war das Restaurant. Die sehr große Karte (westliche Küste, mit Fokus auf Mexicali und US Gerichten) ist zwar spannend, qualitativ konnte es uns jedoch leider nicht überzeugen. Der Service ist freundlich, dürfte jedoch in Teilen etwas zügiger sein. Letztlich ist dies jedoch sehr Objektiv - wir haben für unseren Geschmack im Ort bessere Lokale gefunden. Alles in allem kann ich Mike‘s Dauin Beach Resort jedoch bedenklos empfehlen und habe meinen Aufenthalt dort genossen. Ein Wiedersehen ist sicherlich nicht ausgeschlossen 😉

Wir hatten wundervolle 8 Nächte bei Mikes! Also ist so entspannt und familiär. Das Essen ist unglaublich lecker und abwechslungsreich. Die Mangoshakes, hmmm! Die Tauchgänge sind der Wahnsinn, wir haben Seepferdchen, Schnecken, Seeschlangen, ganz viele Schildkröten, Froschfische, Krebse, Tintenfische und vieles mehr gesehen. Die Tauchguides sind sehr umsichtig, verantwortungsvoll und bemüht, die Unterwasserwelt zu zeigen. Die Kommunikation hat von A bis Z super geklappt. Chester ist sehr zuvorkommend und verlässlich. Mein Gepäck wurde von Cebu Pacific Airlines in Manila vergessen und kam daher 2 Tage später an. Ich hatte solche Angst meine Sachen nie wieder zu sehen. Chester hat total lieb mehrmals bei der Airline angerufen und nachgefragt ❤️ Wir haben uns zu jederzeit rund um wohl gefühlt und es fiel schwer, nach einer Woche dieses kleine Paradies wieder zu verlassen. Danke für alles!

Die ganze Anlage, die Zimmer, der Pool, das Restaurant sowie das Personal sind wunderbar! Es ist ein kleines schönes Resort direkt am Strand. Es fühlt sich an wie in einer kleinen Familie! Der Service von Manager und Personal ist herausragend! Ebenso die Divesites, Bootpersonal und Diveguides sind hervorragend!

Wir haben mit unseren Freunden 11Tage im Resort verbracht und möchten uns für die Freundlichkeit und den Service recht herzlich bedanken. Wir haben unvergessliche Erlebnisse Unter -und Überwasser gehabt. Hervorzuheben war der super Service der Bootscrew, den wir nach so vielen Tauchgängen noch nie so erlebt haben. Ein herzliches Dankeschön gilt unserem Tauchguide Ace, der uns professionell vom Walhai bis zur kleinsten Schnecke alles gezeigt hat, incl. der heissen Unterwasserquellen.Wenn es uns möglich ist, kommen wir sehr gern wieder.

Ich war bei Mike's die letzten 10 Tage. Ich war von der Ankunft bis zur Abreise sehr zufrieden. Das Zimmer war sauber und hat genügend Platz geboten. Vor dem Zimmer ist ein gemütlicher Sessel der zum lesen einlud. Auch die Gartenanlage mit Pool war sehr gepflegt und zum erholen nach dem Tauchen prädestiniert. Dazu traf ich ein sehr gut eingespieltes Team das immer freundlich war. Ich komme sehr gerne wieder. Danke für den tollen Aufenthalt.

This was my first stop on a three week die trip to the Philippines. I flew into Cebu International Airport, stayed the night in the Waterfront Airport Hotel and then flew to Dumaguete from Cebu which was very quick and convenient. MIkes is a really great place to stay with excellent food, especially the daily specials and the a la carte breakfast. The rooms are great and the pool just perfect. Like everywhere else in the Philippines the staff were delightful. My guide, Ace, was an amazing spotter and so friendly and kind. The manager, Chester, was so quick and efficient with replies to emails before I arrived. What really gives the warm friendly vibe is divers love so much is having a friendly owner or manager who is interested and mixes and talks to people. Chester did this beautifully, doing a round of the tables at breakfast and often again at lunch to chat to guests. The diving was superb, Apo was fantastic as always, but I really loved the macro dives on the coast. There were masses of big turtles everywhere, all looking very happy and well fed. We also did really well with frogfish, sea horses and many many nudis. The weather was really good for January, there was one morning of rain only in a week. But the currents on the surface were very strong. The Captain made great efforts to avoid dive sites with a lot of current underwater and succeeded. But this is apparently the norm in January. Highly recommend this dive resort.

We had the pleasure of spending 4 nights at Mike’s Beach Resort in Dauin, and it has been a highlight of our trip. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the cleanliness and beauty of the resort – the grounds were well-maintained, and the ambiance was peaceful and inviting. What really set this place apart, though, was the exceptional staff. They went above and beyond to make our stay feel personal and special. Whether it was remembering our names, making arrangements, or simply accommodating our many requests, they truly made our experience unforgettable. Their attentiveness and warm hospitality made us feel like we were among friends, and we can’t thank them enough. Our dive team, Jonathan and Gabby, were outstanding—they took time to get to know us and personalize our diving excursions. The bar staff, Nathan, Jessa, and Leah, were also wonderful, friendly and kind! They also had amazing food! Last but not least, the property manager, Chester, was absolutely fantastic. He personalized all of our arrangements throughout our stay and was very attentive and accommodating. He even took time to call our upcoming hotels to make sure we have what we need throughout our trip. In our many years of travel, we have never had such amazing support and assistance! If you're looking for a relaxing and memorable stay with top-notch service, Mike’s Resort is the place to be. Highly recommended!

This place is run like a well oiled machine. The master of ceremonies “Chester” is knowledgeable, friendly and charismatic. The rooms are up to date and provide plenty of space and there is consistent hot water in the shower. The restaurant is top notch to the point that there really is no point to going elsewhere for dining. Diving and snorkeling opportunities abound and the meal served on the boat was simple but nonetheless delicious and plentiful. Would definitely recommend this place!!

This has been the second consecutive year that we have stayed and dived at Mike's Beach Resort. Congratulations to Chester for ruling this hotel with such attention to detail. Diving with Gabby and Ace was awesome. All the staff were attentive, including Victor, the captain of the bangka boat, as well as the boat crew. Comfortable rooms and a good restaurant.

Stayed at Mike's for over a week based on a friend's experience and he was right. Great dive centric resort. Great staff and Dive Masters who found me a ton of awesome macro and things I've never seen before! The night dives especially are terriffic!

We had a wonderful two night stay. Staff treat you like family. From the grounds keeper to the manager everyone treats you well. Mikes was our first stop in the Dauin area. It is close to the Dauin market, walking distance. There is car and motorcycle parking along with laundry services which we were in dire need of. Laundry was done quickly and perfectly.

Nice mid range hotel. The main attraction for us was the diving and the dive team did not disappoint. The accommodation is a bit tired but ok and the included breakfast is very basic and cheap, but all the paid for food is lovely. Dive masters Ace and Gaby and the boat crew are great and the week got better and better.

I have been to this resort many times for scuba diving. The rooms are comfortable the diving is good. The food is varied with Filipino Mexican and American styles. The staff always try their best to help and make your stay memorable. I like the resort because it is not a big resort so you get to know the other guests and the staff get to know you

Our second trip back, and most excellent again (despite the attempts of typhoons to intervene). Once again excellent diving, staff, management, food and accommodation. So much so we have booked our third trip for next year! Keep up the wonderful work.....(special thanks to dive guide Gabby and all the boat crew).
