It's hard to fault this hotel. Very modern, very clean, and in an excellent location for those using Datong South 大同南站, which you can see from the hotel itself.
There isn't a whole lot to do in the surrounding area, so I mightn't recommend basing yourself here for an entire Datong trip. However, as I arrived at 3am, it was a perfect spot to get a good nights sleep.
I can't give it a full 5/5 though as, for a rather generic (though indeed clean and modern) chain-style hotel room in a smaller city like Datong, I found the price to be quite expensive at over 400rmb per night.

Very close to the Datong South station, about 5 min by car. Spacious rooms, bathrobes provided, excellent tea (proper tea, no teabags!) inside the room. We stayed for 2 days. Easy ride to the ancient city of Datong, about 15-20 min, I think.
The only inconvenience was that the heating is on all the time, i had to keep the window openn throughout the night. And the reception is not 24/7 as advertised. When we tried to check out at 6:30 am to go to the Hanging Monastery, there was noone. We called them afyerwards, and everything was sorted though, they even let us come back and leave our bags till the evening when we had spare time before the train.

Near Datong south railway station and bus station. Totally no food options or convenience store nearby. The best option is to take bus or taxi to Wanda square which have a lot of food options. Hotel service is great as they helped us to booked cab and constantly asking if we need more bottled water.

The hotel is not in the city but no problem as it is near the high speed train station. It was clean. One little small trouble is the hotel does not provide breakfast and there is no restaurant around the hotel.

La habitación es ideal y muy bien equipada. Muy cerca de la estación de tren. Habitación cómoda y amplia. Lo único que el aire acondicionado no funcionaba y hacía demasiado calor.

離大同南站不到一公里，非常方便。
前台姐姐非常友好，熱情温柔，給人印象極佳。
酒店設施齊全，房間內物品陳列整潔，很乾凈，也比較智能，可以通過小度來操控，有四種燈光模式可以滿足不同的需求。床真的睡着特別舒適，倒頭就睡，這點非常滿意。
體驗感極好，性價比也很高，所以住了一晚之後又續了一天，下次有機會再來大同還是會選擇這裏，很贊！
