Positive: Front desk manager is very good in behavior.. Negative: Poor house keeping Poor WiFi, After check in found stinky smell in washroom and next day hotel found that there was leakage in commode.. Overall in my 4 night stay, am not happy with Olive..

Stayed at this hotel for two nights in March 2023, and the experience was extremely satisfying. We were happy with this place even before reaching there. Ms Sarika, the owner, meticulously replied to all our queries, came up with a very reasonable offer for the room charge, and was prompt in confirming reservation. The room was very clean, and so was the bathroom. Breakfast was included in the room charge. There was much variety in the breakfast and all items were very tasty. The location of the hotel is great - right opposite Glenary's and above KFC on Nehru Road. The Mall was an easy walk and the nightlife on Nehru Road was most enjoyable. However, after 9:00pm, the area became quiet and we had undisturbed sleep. Another nice feature of this hotel is that car can come directly to its door via the Planters' Club route. This can be of great help to seniors and those with mobility problems. Finally, I must record my appreciation for the staff led by the manager Mr Biswas. They were extremely helpful and this help always came with a smiling face. Without any reservation, I shall recommend this hotel to everyone. We shall definitely stay here in our future visits to Darjeeling.

Olive hotel is situated in the heart of Darjeeling, although situated on a busy street it was surprisingly quiet at night as there are no cars and nightlife ends at ten. We spent a week in total at Olive hotel and were overwhelmed by the service and care from the staff. Mr Biswas in the reception always greeted us with a big smile and went out of his way to help us with our lost luggage. It is a small a hotel with a personal touch. The manager Sarika is also worth a special mention as she was extremely flexible and helpful to adjust to our different needs.We enjoyed breakfast at the popular Glenarys just opposite the hotel. We would certainly return to Olive Hotel.

We booked at this hotel based on the reviews but truly disappointed. We rechecked details over phone and were further misled. 1. We had specifically pointed out that we have a senior citizen and a child so we do not want too much of climbing - we were told the car will go right up at the back and steps were just 25...truth is car has restrictions and depends on the guard at the crossing; steps were double of what was informed... 2. No fans no AC no ventilation.... 3. the kettle in the room was filthy both inside and outside... 4. The intercom phone was so dirty one would not want to touch it to call for services 5. None to attend to your calls 6. No water early morning 7. Staff fighting among themselves at the top of their voice at night 8. The washroom was so designed - one would never venture to bathe there A most disappointed stay...we were forced to stay the night but checked out as early as 7.30 am....just somehow managed to spend the night...the linen and pillows were neat so we could at least lie down would never never recommend anyone to use this hotel

Almost zero amenities in the room. Most of the bedsheets, pillow covers, wash basin, furnitures in the room were not clean when we arrived. Food was horrible most of the times. Worst hotel (if you can call this one) I have ever stayed in. Still given 2 stars for couple of reasons - (1). the manager and whatever limited staff we saw, were very courteous, and (2). the location of the place is wonderful.
