Summit Swiss Heritage Resort & Spa

Our group of 12 people stayed here for 2 nights in 5 rooms. The hotel location is convenient, just a short walk from The Mall. It also has a private parking area for hotel guests. The property is divided into heritage rooms and regular rooms from the newer wing. We stayed in heritage rooms and although the rooms, and bathrooms, were clean, and featured TV, tea/coffee facility and room heaters, cold air was blowing in from a number of gaps in the toilet. Better maintenance was expected. On the heritage section they also have some cottages and we occupied one of them. Apart from being a little bigger the cottage didn't provide any additional facility. If one is interested in staying in a cottage then I strongly recommend that while booking it is clear what type of room the hotel is offering since the way they describe the rooms it is difficult to understand the room type. Prices also vary wildly depending, it appears, on occupancy rate and season, so one should be careful while booking. The rates we got, which included breakfast and dinner, were reasonable. We found the attitude of some of the reception staff to be not too friendly but dinning room staff were helpful. So far food is concerned, we were disappointed with both quality and options. Plus the dinning area is not big so waiting for a table is a possibility. Another point to note that the heritage wing does not have elevator access and climbing stairs are necessary, so anybody with mobility issue may face problems. Overall my rating reflects the effect of good location, the room rates we paid and the friendly attitude of the dinning room staff. If one gets a good rate and is willing to accept mediocre food then this hotel can be considered.

Had a wonderful experience at Summit Swiss Heritage Hotel Darjeeling with very friendly Captain, helpful staffs and with their top notch service. Constantly greeting guests and mindful of their customer needs. BIG THANKS to "A LADY IN BLACK" madam Reshma she is the best there, doing a fantastic job , she made sure we had a great experience and had a little talk with her that made our day. See you soon madam❤️ Rooms got equipped with everything we needed, decent room ,comfortable beds, everything was on its perfect place. Also the Restaurant which was extremely clean n fresh. The food was incredibly flavorful and cooked to perfection! Thanks to their Chefs Uplifting music at night and a cozy inviting atmosphere with a perfect location. An overall lovely experience, highly recommend

We booked the heritage hotel based on great reviews instead of Ramada. As the booking was not confirmed, we called and mentioned it to the representative mutiple times that we have to check in at 21 feb and checkout at 22 feb as we have a flight. We even paid 50% advance on the 20 In return they confirmed back the same. Now upon reaching the hotel we got to know that your management had done the booking for the 22 instead of 21, then after explaining them and proving it to them, they gave us someother room in the other building, even inspite of telling them very categorically that we specifically booked the deluxe room in the heritage wing with city view. As we were exhausted we accepted the room but the room had bed bugs and by morning my entire back had rashes from it. The point is they didnt even bother explaining the situation and instead the behaviour was to take it or leave it. As we were asked to pay in advance we had no other option rather than going to this property. This was our first time in Darjeeling and we cancelled ramada for your hotel and this is what we got in return. Pathetic experience and will never recommend and come again
