It‘s a fairly new hotel and part of Marriott Bonvoy. I enjoyed to stay there a lot, the staff is very friendly and attentive. The breakfast buffet is nice and with various options. The pool has a nice size, however lacking a view. Talking about view, some rooms have nice sea view. Others have pool view but you also see the green landscape which is nice too. The rooms are pretty big, kind of small TV though, but they feel very comfortable and the bed is great too. Also USB and an international power plug at the night stand, which still a lot of other hotels don‘t have. Rooms are cleaned very well. The gym is very basic, only machines for cardio and a few weights. Ate dinner at the restaurant several times and always got good food. There is an area called Slipway just 5 walking minutes away, that also provides great food options and a bit of nightlife.

I enjoy my stay at Euro hotel the place is smart and quiet.The food is good and the staff are very much welcome especially the girl by the name Alice at the reception,she is very much welcoming and very sociable.She is a very good character.The only thing that needs to be improved is DStv channels on TV ,I like soccer so much that I need to have DStv next time I visit.

Die Zimmer waren sehr gemütlich und freundlich, mit einem Fernseher, einem Minibar und einem Klimaanlage. Die Toiletten waren sehr sauber und sanitiert und Handtücher auch geräuchert, wie sie gut gewaschen wurden. Ich mag es, dass das Hotel in der Stadt mit einem engen Zugang zu einer Vielzahl wichtiger Orte, Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten ist. Ich war in einem nicht rauchenden Zimmer und konnte Rauchen aus anderen Zimmern stinken. Ich habe die Rezeption gebeten, mein Zimmer zu ändern, was sie getan haben.

Die anderen sind gut, die Lage ist unsachgemäß, vor dem Hafen ist die schöne Landschaft! Die Einrichtungen sind auch relativ neu und bequem zu bekommen. Besonders die Schalenfische im 8. Stock sind wirklich die beste, die ich je gegessen habe! Der Wäscheservice ist ein Problem, die Zahnfleisch hat drei Mal gebraucht, zwei müssen einen gebrauchen! Die erste Tageszeit ist verschwunden! Einmalschlepper sind auch das erste Mal verwendet, um nicht neu zu wechseln! Einmalschlepper sind langfristig! Ein weiterer Nachteil ist, dass die Wifi-Geschwindigkeit zu langsam ist und die blaue Uhr unter dem Fernseher zu spürbar ist.

Das Hotel ist zwar etwas älter allerdings gut gepflegt und sehr sauber. Die Zimmer entsprechen dem europäischen Standard. einziger Mangel sind die nicht 100% Insektensicheren Netzte an den Fenstern so dass sich Nachts ab und an doch ein Moskito ins Zimmer verirrt(wenn man mit Klimaanlage schläft kein Problem). Und im Zimmer gab es keine Rauchmelder, Halterung zwar vorhanden aber das Gerät fehlte. Das Personal war super freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und werden wieder kommen. Preis/Leistungsmässig das beste Hotel was wir in Dar bisher hatten

I spent one night in the Chelsea Hotel to do some sightseeing in Dar and it was very good for that purpose. The hotel was a little bit dated, but otherwise completely up to the standards which I expect from a hotel. It's located not far from the clock tower, which to my understanding pinpoints the centerpoint of the city. The actual sights I went to see started further away, about 20 minutes by foot. The room was adequate in size and had good aircon. I had a twin room. I first tried sleeping in the bed further away from the aircon, but the air blew directly there, so I had to move to the bed right under the aircon unit. The hotel was located close to a busy road and the honking of the cars could be heard up to the sixth floor. However it wasn't bad. The breakfast was ok. It didn't have a very wide selection, but the items I tried were tasty and of good quality. Also the setting in the restaurant was pleasant. The only negative I have to say is the extraorbitant exchange rate. I had paid my room rate in advance, but I had to pay the city tax (1.50 USD) at the hotel. I asked to pay in Tsh and had to pay 7000 Tsh, equivalent to about 3$. My loss was only 1.50$, so it wasn't a big deal in my case, but the principle left a bad taste in my mouth. If the room rate would have been 1.50$ higher but the city tax 3500 Tsh, I would have left as a happy customer. The hotel offered airport transfer for 42000 Tsh. It was quite pricy. The fixed price at the official taxi stand at the airport was 30000 Tsh. On the way back to the airport I used a rideshare app to get my transfer, it cost Tsh 12000.

Wir wollten außerhalb von Dar es Salaam übernachten und fanden im Mediterraneo ein sehr schönes Hotel zum Entspannen nach der 14 stündiger (mit Zwischenstopp) Flugreise. Die sauberen Zimmer umrahmen einen blühenden Garten mit Bougainvillea und hohen Bäumen. Von der Terrasse beobachteten wir Vögel und gegen Dunkelheit vorbeifliegende Flughunde. Der große Pool liegt direkt am sandigen Strand, welcher ebenfalls zum Eintauchen im klaren Meer einlädt. Von den Tischen im langgestreckten Restaurant hat man einen schönen Blick aufs Meer. Das Frühstück war reichlich, das Abendessen sehr gut. Dem Hotelteam sprechen wir unseren Dank aus für den freundlichen, guten und aufmerksamen Service.
