I'm going to give my honest review about Gold Tulip Resort in Dar es Salaam. This should not be a 4 Star Hotel it should be a 2.5 - 3 Star. My husband and I stayed at this location from 02/02/23 - 02/10/23. The driver for the hotel picked my husband and I up from the airport very nice man. I would like to talk about the Pro's and Con's of this place. Con's Finally arriving at our destination I was so confused and disturbed by how unpleasant it looked in the back of the building. The inside of the receptionist lobby was very clean and it smelled amazing. It was nice and cool. Taking the elevator to the 16th floor was extremely hot. They should install an air conditioning system or a fan inside of the elevator because it's very hot an muggy. My husband and I stayed in room 1606. The room was nice and spacious. Several things I did not like about the room. 1. TV was really small and it wasn't directly in the middle where it should've been. 2. No sports station only in the restaurant on the 20th and 21st floor which was super annoying. You're not able to enjoy your stay and watch sports in your room. 3. On February 9th it stormed and my husband and I were asleep. The sound of the thunder and lightening woke me up. I tried going back to sleep but I kept hearing rain drops which sounded as if it the rain was dropping onto the floor. I get up at 3am and check and low and behold the window seal was completely drenched and water was also on the floor. How is this possible??? They need to do some immediate work on their windows because this is extremely dangerous. 4. Bathroom was very unpleasant looking. The toilet was absolutely disgusting. No matter how many times the housekeeper came to clean the inside of the toilet where the water refills was so corded with rust. Everytime we flushed the water was brown. That was disgusting. It really bothers me when I needed to shower water would get all over the floor because there was no door to keep the water inside the shower. The existing glass door that's there water gets underneath it and gets all over the floor. Water temperature takes time to get hot. 5. Air conditioner unit is horrible and they need to replace all of them in each room. For this place to charge so much money they can afford to upgrade the air conditioning unit, TV, TV Stations, Glass door for shower, toilets, etc... 6. My husband and I ate at their restaurant almost everyday. The prices of their breakfast is ridiculous because the food they have for all you can eat wasn't pleasant. To charge what they charge is a bit outrageous. The drinks they have out are NEVER and I mean NEVER iced cold. When you ask them for ice it's always a hassle to get because their machine doesn't always work. It's really hot in the morning and not having an iced cold beverage is annoying. Dinner Menu I got really bored with. First thing I ordered on their menu was Chicken Tom Yom Soup. When I tell you this soup was no where near Tom Yom.soup. It tasted not

Die Umgebung ist wunderschön, der Strand ist draußen, kostenlose Parkplätze, Flughafentransfers sind kostenpflichtig, was in den Vororten liegt. Dieses Hotel bietet Full-Service-Einrichtungen, darunter Massage, Fitness, Schwimmen, Karaoke usw. und allgemeine englische Konversation!

Anlagen: veraltet Gesundheit: Es ist ähnlich wie ein normales altes Hotel im Inland, aber insgesamt ist sauber und der Balkon ist auch bequem, Umgebung: Ruhe, muslimische Chef, Hotel ohne Wein Das Zimmer muss das Meer sehen! Der Pool ist offen und es gibt viele Menschen! Das Frühstück ist nicht zu essen, aber man kann die Landschaft sehen, man kann Kaffee trinken und die Landschaft sehen! Dienst: langsam, aber immer gelöst!

Der Aufenthalt im Hyatt Regency Daressalam - The Kilimanjaro war hervorragend - absolut empfehlenswert. Das Hotel ist insgesamt sehr großzügig, die Zimmer sind sehr sauber, der Poolbereich ist sehr gepflegt und das Personal ist überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstücksbuffett ist sehr reichhaltig und auch sonst verfügt das Hotel über diverse Einrichtungen zum Mittagessen und Abendessen. Für einen Städtetrip ist die Lage von dem Hotel bestens geeignet; der Hafen mit der Fähre nach Zanzibar sowie das Nationalmuseum sind in kurzer Zeit zu Fuß zu erreichen. Auch die Stadtmitte ist nur wenige Minuten entfernt. Trotzdem ist das Hotel sehr ruhig. Erwähnenswert ist auf alle Fälle noch die Roof Top Bar im obersten Stockwerk mit einem grandiosen Ausblick über den Hafen. The stay at the Hyatt Regency Dar es Salaam - The Kilimanjaro was excellent - absolutely recommendable. The hotel is overall very spacious, the rooms are very clean, the pool area is very well maintained and the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The breakfast buffet is very rich and also otherwise the hotel has various facilities for lunch and dinner. For a city trip, the location of the hotel is ideal; the port with the ferry to Zanzibar and the National Museum are within walking distance. The city center is also only a few minutes away. Nevertheless, the hotel is very quiet. Worth mentioning is definitely the Roof Top Bar on the top floor with a magnificent view over the harbor.

Our group of seven, family and friends, stayed at the Hotel Slipway. The Seaview rooms, services, food, and neighborhood location were excellent. We ate in the restaurants on the water and watched the sunset over the bay. The shops like the Green Room were exquisite. And being able to walk down the street to take the boat to a nearby island was wonderful. The hotel arranged for vans for our all day tour with a DAR friend, our travels around the city, and to early morning flights, even packing 7 bag breakfasts. Our friends who lived in TZ for over a decade always stayed here when in Dar. We all highly recommend staying here.

Das Hotel ist schön und sauber, ca. 30 Minuten vom Stadtzentrum entfernt.Das Frühstück hatte einige Varianten, die eine große Zugabe war

Wir wollten uns für einen Tag etwas erholen und buchten ein Appartement mit 2 Schlafzimmern und Küche. Das Appartement ist sehr schön und groß mit tollen Betten. Perfekt für Familien geeignet. Eine super tolle Einbauküche mit einem großen Kühlschrank. Aber das war schon das positive an der Küche. Keinerlei Teller oder ähnliches. Es gab einen Wasserkocher aber nur 2 Tassen und 2 Gläser und einen Löffel. Es gab 1 kleine Tüte löslichen Kaffee und 2 Tüten schwarzen Tee und Zucker, den man nicht richtig aus dem Papier bekam. Für so ein großes Appartement geht das nicht. Der Strand ist superschön und der große Pool auch. Da wir aber leider Sonntags hier waren, gab es sehr viele Tagesgäste, welche sich nicht so gut benahmen. Der große Pool war voll von den Familien. Der gesamte Poolbereich war dreckig. Es lagen lauter Getränkebecher usw rum. Mein Mann hatte zum Glück Flip Flops an, am Poolbereich trat er in so eine Pinnadel. Ohne Schuhe wäre das böse ausgegangen. Unsere Kinder wollten was essen. Wir bekamen kalte Pommes und der Mann wollte meinen Mann 1000 Schilling mehr ”abknöpfen” obwohl der Preis angegeben war. Er reagierte etwas säuerlich als mein Mann ihm das sagte. Es geht nicht um die paar Cents aber um die Art und Weise. Wir gingen dann zum Abend auf den langen Steg. Auch dieser war richtig dreckig mit lauter Papier und Bechern. Wirklich super traurig. Wir bestellen uns Essen aufs Zimmer. Dieses schmeckte sehr gut. Das Frühstück am nächsten Morgen war super und sehr reichhaltig. Der Poolbereich war jetzt auch sauber. Alles in einem ein schönes Hotel mit sehr netten Angestellten ( außer den einen Angestellten beim Pommes Kauf am Pool), nur nicht am Wochenende zu empfehlen. Vielleicht sollte man auf bestimmte Tagesgäste verzichten, bzw darauf achten, dass diese sich nicht wie auf der Straße benehmen und überall ihren Müll hinschmeißen. Das haben wir bisher noch in keinem Hotel erlebt und das hätte man hier nie erwartet.

I spent one night in the Chelsea Hotel to do some sightseeing in Dar and it was very good for that purpose. The hotel was a little bit dated, but otherwise completely up to the standards which I expect from a hotel. It's located not far from the clock tower, which to my understanding pinpoints the centerpoint of the city. The actual sights I went to see started further away, about 20 minutes by foot. The room was adequate in size and had good aircon. I had a twin room. I first tried sleeping in the bed further away from the aircon, but the air blew directly there, so I had to move to the bed right under the aircon unit. The hotel was located close to a busy road and the honking of the cars could be heard up to the sixth floor. However it wasn't bad. The breakfast was ok. It didn't have a very wide selection, but the items I tried were tasty and of good quality. Also the setting in the restaurant was pleasant. The only negative I have to say is the extraorbitant exchange rate. I had paid my room rate in advance, but I had to pay the city tax (1.50 USD) at the hotel. I asked to pay in Tsh and had to pay 7000 Tsh, equivalent to about 3$. My loss was only 1.50$, so it wasn't a big deal in my case, but the principle left a bad taste in my mouth. If the room rate would have been 1.50$ higher but the city tax 3500 Tsh, I would have left as a happy customer. The hotel offered airport transfer for 42000 Tsh. It was quite pricy. The fixed price at the official taxi stand at the airport was 30000 Tsh. On the way back to the airport I used a rideshare app to get my transfer, it cost Tsh 12000.

This is a comfy stay in the heart of dar es salaam ! Please go to Joshua in the front desk who will make you feel very much welcome and even offer you upgrades, and free welcome Tanzania wine and fruits! Shout-out also to Khadijah our housekeeping manger who made sure all is smooth at arrival.. Really appreciated! Room is classy, clean, and sharp! Hotel is in good location few steps from ferry terminal. Personnel are extremely friendly! Please stay here.
