"Not at all what was shown on website. It was not clean. Yard was overgrown. Deck in shambles. House had beautiful antiques but so dusty and smelly it ruined the ambience of the place! wrote a previous bad review and it was posted temporarily and taken down. Guess that’s how he keeps a 4 star rating on a 1 star experience!!!"

"Very nicely recently redone building for rental rooms, well done, very user friendly in the room / kitchen appliances. Bed was comfortable, bathroom nice. Code to enter building and room great, no need for key. Lobby area lovely, microwave, large fridge, sitting areas and books/ games if interested. "

"We were totally shocked upon arrival. Place looked abandoned. Windows covered with spider webs, bird droppings and dirt covering outdoor furniture, rotten deck boards piled up in yard, etc. Beware because the online site is a total misrepresentation of the state the exterior property is in. There were beautiful antiques inside and at one time it might have been a show place but now it needs a thorough cleaning and repair. There was some sort of bug infestation in tall cabinet where food was stored. We declined breakfast both mornings because of it. Sad to see such a beautiful estate in such disrepair. It bothers me that people may travel long distances expecting a beautiful retreat and then be greeted by this rundown property."

"Very enjoyable stay at a boutique hotel with a unique concept. No front desk, just reserve your room on line, receive your room and hotel door key pad number and that's it. Very comfortable with small refrigerator, toaster oven, griddle and coffee maker. Great common open space at the front of the hotel near street with large table, sectional, TVs, Arcade console and kitchen area. Places to put your bikes and a cool vibe. Would definitely recommend."
