6 of us stayed here for the tweed gin bike ride. The rooms were excellent. Great linen and loved the toiletries. Gin dinner Kai was outstanding. But most mentionable was the lovely Jamie who made our stay smooth running. Perfect service from the hostess with the mostess!!

Even though we only stayed the one night we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Most comfortable bed, had good sleep. There is a choice of two different dining rooms catering to semi casual environment or the fine dining g experience. We had a delicious steak meal, excellent! The host was lovely as was all the staff we encountered. We'd love to revisit Greytown and do more activities, and of course stay at the lovely White Swan Hotel.

A great stop on the way to Napier. Great food at a reasonable pub price, in the centre of town. This old white timber building has outdoor and indoor dining, kids meals and the facilities are clean and neat. We had 2 kids meals, which were devoured eagerly and salads. Highly recommended.

This hotel was very comfortable and had a lot of character. The staff were welcoming, the food was delicious (my wife and I had the steak), and Greytown was a quaint location for a stay. We would not hesitate to stay and eat at the White Swan on any future trips through the area.

We stayed in the Boardroom, the roomiest of the suites behind the old hotel. Beautiful surroundings, unit tastefully and solidly furnished. Could do with a bit more kitchen equipment if you plan to cook but of course the hotel has 2 restaurants and more in the street. We didn't eat there so our experience with staff was limited but couldn't be faulted. Will definitely return.

We made the booking as we drove south from Napier which was made easy by the helpful staff member at the other end of the call. By the time we arrived for dinner, hours later, details had shifted a bit and again staff were only too keen to help change things around. The service was excellent, meals were excellent and the drinks were excellent. The White Swan and it’s staff are a credit to Greytown.

We chose the Captains table, we wanted more than ……Nachos, Chips, Bread and Dips ??? The Calamari was ok We sat down to Captains Table, Atmosphere was fine….Chatted to “Martin Bosley” Starter: Was Civich’e ……portion size was disgusting….. (How many people eat those seeds??? ) …….The seeds are ONLY presentation The Main Course: Fish of the Day. and Salmon Size of portion was “Abysmal” Tasted ok, but ……a measly ballotine of fish Veges, minimal Chose to “AVOID” dessert

Stayed at the Swan over New Year in a Park Studio room, which was nicely appointed and comfortable. Enjoyed meals in both the Captain's Table and the Bistro, would highly recommend both for the quality of the food, the excellent service and the local wines. Convenient for touring the area, welcoming and friendly staff. No hesitation in recommending,

A lovely hotel in the heart of Greytown, with character, comfortable rooms and very friendly staff. We had a Park View upstairs room, which was large and private, though the winding stairs proved a challenge with our cases, especially as my wife had injured her knee. There was a fan but no air conditioning, though that didn't prove a problem in early December. The hotel kitchen produced a variety of dishes, with healthy bowls and fish dishes - including delicious whitebait burgers - serving three eating areas - a fine dining restaurant, the bar/bistro and a beer garden out back. Most enjoyable was sitting on the front deck at sundown with good food, cold drinks and up-close views of the passing parade on Main Street. The pub itself had no breakfast venue, though there are so many lovely cafes on Greytown Main Street this was no hardship.
