Penybryn Cottages

I've stayed here a couple of times and cannot fault it. Debbie is very friendly and always asks if everything is fine for us. I was unable to get the dates I wanted but after speaking to Debbie she offered me an alternate cottage with dates that suited us. We have family in Aberdare and Mountain Ash so it was central to both. There are also many shops not far away if you like shopping. And the views are stunning and very reasonably priced. The cottages are a home from home. I did see one review saying the crockery and cutlery are mis-matched which I found to be petty. Who cares. The main thing is that everything is there for you to use. This will always be the place I will book now whenever I visit my family. Highly recommended

Stayed here overnight adhoc whilst on a moto camping road trip. Wow, what a little gem of a place. If you are looking for somewhere peaceful, quiet with stunning views over the valley, look no further. I couldn’t believe my luck tbh as I’d booked over the phone and had no idea about the place. This is the sort of place I would have looked for if I’d had more time. Owner was really friendly, as were the sheep and goats hahaha. Clean and perfectly adequate facilities, local corner shop 5 mins walk, co op 15 min walk.
