Just awful. The place looks picturesque from the outside and our superior room was large. But there the good stuff ends. The public rooms are decorated like a care home for the elderly, I never knew there were so many shades of beige. The bedrooms are old, and not quaint historic old but like decrepit old, their sanitary ware was new in the 1980's and mostly about works, and that's the best part. You expect this from a budget B&B or motel. Dinner consisted of very small portions from a very small menu and lacked imagination. So much so that I had to go back and check the website to see if I was staying in the right hotel. Breakfast was OK but you have to put up with the intrusive, faux-quaint humour of the maitre'D. I can't be bothered to write any more to be honest, that's the level of inspiration this place has given me. If this doesn't put you off staying there, then give it a go, but, as we say in Scotland, "Yer wer telt!"

Staying here was a great experience. The staff is impeccable, the home and grounds are gorgeous, the rooms are beautiful. Attention to detail here is unsurpassed. The food is wonderful. I really can't say enough to let you know how amazing this place is. If you get the chance to become a resident for a few days jump at it. Hands down the best hotel I've ever stayed at.

This is the most charming and comfortable Inn with an incredible dining experience. The grounds are beautiful and the staff is super attentive. We were exhausted and slept through dinner and they were kind enough to make us delicious sandwiches late night. Excellent experience in a beautiful historic Inn.

This beautiful hotel/castle/manor was a highlight of our trip to Scotland. It was set back with a huge lawn entrance leading up to the main house. We stayed in the "guest house" and enjoyed 2 large beautiful suites that were so comfortable and well appointed. The staff was very attentive and Lina was very welcoming upon our arrival. We enjoyed wonderful Scottish breakfasts here as well as one castle dinner. I hope we can come back here someday.

This is the best hotel we have ever stayed in for service and space! All staff were attentive and friendly and could not have been more helpful. Clearly staff love their job and pride themselves on meeting guests every need. Our room was spacious and comfortable. We would definitely visit again.

This was our home away from home! What a lovely, quaint hotel located just minutes away from Inverness. We stayed in the Garden Mansion and had the whole house to ourselves. Lovely rooms, very spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The staff in the dining room were wonderful and especially the breakfast staff were very attentive. We loved the bagpipes that welcomed us to dinner. A nice central location for day trips to the battlefield, Cawder Castle or other area attractions. Would stay here again!

We stayed here for only one night but I wish we could have stayed for more. The staff is the best we have experienced in Scotland. Everyone is wonderful and personable. They take time to make you feel welcome. The restaurant was delicious; one of our best meals here. The room had beautiful views and was quite comfortable.

A happy return after 26 years. Sometimes you don't want great things to change and we were pleasantly surprised to find the charm and tradition of Culloden House still in place. From the moment you drive up to your check in, it is just so.... Scottish!! As a treat we did the Scotch tasting. I was accompanied by good friend who is quite knowledgable about Scotch and he both enjoyed it throughly and learned something. Dinner was a great experience and a nightcap in the lounge with other nice guests a highlight. The rooms were traditional, excellent and comfortable. My Wife commented that perhaps a tad (just a tad) of updating might not be a bad thing but still a special, special place. Don't miss the Bagpiper in the late afternoon! Happy to give it an excellent rating. I hope it not 26 years more years.

This was a first rate experience. We were cordially greeted and offered champagne upon arrival. The room was spacious. Dinner was excellent. Overall, I found the staff friendly and helpful from arrival to departure. The walking path just outside the entrance gate is filled with carved fairy creatures which make for a fun walk. If you feel like a splurge this is the place.
