Beautiful place! The guesthouse was very clean, peaceful and in a great location just a few minutes from a beach. The room was lovely and the place has an amazing rooftop deck and balcony to hang out on. The breakfast was delicious and the guesthouse even had beach chairs and towels we could use. The owners were extremely kind and knowledgeable in terms of the area and helping us figure out the best places to eat/visit. We loved our stay and would highly recommend it!

Wir liebten Casa De Tortuga und hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt in Esperanza. Unsere Kinder (4+6) liebten die Rooster, Hühner, Pferde, Katzen und Hunde, die in der Nachbarschaft wandern. Und sie adorierten absolut Skip, der ihnen seine Fruchtbäume gezeigt und ihnen Mangos, Sternenfrucht und Pomegranate - so cool. Es war ein perfektes Basislager für die Erforschung der Insel. Wir lieben 2 Schlafzimmer und eine kleine Küche, um schnelle Picknicks für den Strand zu machen. Es ist leicht zu Fuß im Herzen von Esperanza (auch für unsere 4 Jahre alt). Wir wünschen, wir hätten eine Nacht statt nach Fajardo gebracht. Tipp: Die Nachbarschaftsrooster nehmen ihre Arbeit sehr ernst und die Cockadoodledoo-ing beginnt um 5:30 Uhr. Unsere Kinder schlafen mit einer Soundmaschine, so dass sie nicht störten. Nach der ersten Nacht haben wir weise und setzen ”Ocean Sounds” auf unserem Telefon, um sie ein bisschen zu verdunken und eine weitere Stunde Schlaf zu bekommen!

I picked this hotel in Esperanza hoping it would be more quiet than guest rooms above restaurants/bars along the malecon *****, as well as being adults only. Cars still drove by around the corner blaring loud music, but not terribly late. Roosters announce the sunrise, but we didn't notice while using white noise. Our Esquina (corner) room was serviceable and had an industrial concrete feel which matches the description and photos online. We were not able to select a room with an ocean view but had one tiny corner of the balcony where you could see water if you squinted. The better view was from the roof where we enjoyed live music one evening, and the hot tub to ourselves later that night. Towels and beach chairs to borrow were a nice touch, which we used daily. We did not eat in the hotel restaurant, instead tried a different place along the boardwalk each of 3 nights. We were not able to take advantage of morning coffee: it did not open until 8am and we were already gone for the day to our activities by then. A Keurig in the room to make tea would have been appreciated. The bathroom was very small: there was a half door on the shower and water would go all over the floor. Water temperature was unpredictable; they even had to provide notes on how to get hot water for the shower. We rented a car for our stay; the hotel does not have a parking lot, but there is a public dirt parking lot directly across the street that had plenty of available parking every day. Overall I was mostly satisfied with this funky-looking hotel as a base for our activities on beautiful Vieques.
