The Old Inn

The Old Inn has become a regular spot for us. We love the mix of old and new. It has such a relaxed atmosphere and staff are excellent. The spa is very unique and we love that even with a full house, the spa never feels overly busy. We try to visit at least two/three times a year to unwind and look forward to our next trip.

Beautiful. A perfect place to spend an evening. The recent upgrade of the Inn has been sensitive, but in many ways quite daring. The vibe is luxurious fabrics, bold colours, strong art mixed with old world charm and original features. The restaurant has a lovely relaxed but classy vibe. And we really enjoyed our food - a simple bistro-type menu but delivered elegantly and clearly thought had gone into it in the kitchen. Staff were friendly, drinks were great. After the restaurant we retired to a cosy corner of the bar. Bliss. I could have stayed all night. Haven’t stayed over night, or used the spa… but I put a heavy “yet” with that.

A massive thank you to Matthew and the amazing team in The Old Inn for looking after us so well during our stay on the 4th of May to celebrate my Hen party. From the very initial email, Matthew was so professional and helpful and nothing was a bother to him. This continued throughout the guided tour of the hotel and facilities, the countless emails, the business sheets and the final planning meeting a week before the event. It was an absolute pleasure to plan the event with Matthew and the whole weekend ran seamlessly thanks to his planning. All of the staff were incredibly friendly during our stay; our waitress Charlotte deserves a very honourable mention. She was so attentive and friendly while serving us in the CS Lewis Suite and spent time helping us to connect the laptop to the CleverTouch board to stream the movie. She even had a bow in her hair to match the bow theme! All of the staff during breakfast and afternoon tea were amazing. The entire party thoroughly enjoyed their stay, ranging from the comfort of the rooms, to the wonderful spa facilities and amazing food, we honestly couldn't fault any aspect of our experience. You all have made a significant life event even more memorable for me! I look forward to returning to the hotel in the near future, and will continue to recommend it! A very enjoyable lunch today to celebrate a special family occasion. We received a warm, friendly welcome and were promptly shown to a very nice, spacious table for our party of three. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal’s from the Festive Menu, the food was delicious and piping hot. We were very well looked after by Charlotte and Alex, all the staff were very friendly & helpful and there was such a lovely ambience, dim lighting and beautiful Christmas lights made it very special! Look forward to returning soon.

I visited The Old Inn today for some lunch, I was served by the lovely Andrew and Rihanna, they were very polite and helpful. They were also great at sharing their knowledge about their menu and drinks that paired well with my food choices. I very much enjoyed my short but wonderful visit today. Thank you very much to all of them!

£21.60 for two kids ice-creams! Two scoops each, no extras! That deserves one star! Even the staff were embarrassed explaining this charge and apologised. Prices not transparent at all. Our initial warm impression of the place was greatly disintegrated. Very poor!
