I was spied on in the shower by a hotel employee, and management tried to cover it up. It wasn’t until we involved the police that they became cooperative. What happened? Look at the photos, and you’ll see a sliding window in the shower that opens to a hallway closet. While I was showering, I looked up and saw a man’s face in the window, watching me. I screamed, grabbed a towel, and ran out to the hallway. When I opened the closet next to my room, I found that same man wearing a hotel uniform, trying to climb down from the window that overlooks my shower. He tried to push past me, but I caught him by the sleeve and took his radio. I shouted for help, and he said over and over, “Please, don’t tell.” Other guests arrived to assist me, and started taking photos and video of the scene. The desk clerk named Angel came upstairs and initially claimed that he’d told the pervert peeping tom named Vicktor to get a broom from that closet. Observe from the photo that this is not a utility closet, and is empty except for pipes. We also found footholds carved into the cinderblock beneath the shower window. Once we pointed out the falsehood of his claim, Angel then said that Vicktor was never in the closet, that it’s his word against mine. Angel refused to call the hotel manager, and then refused to call the police. He took Victor to the office behind the hotel desk, and we saw him on his phone, smiling and laughing. Members of my group called the police and contacted the hotel owner Gilberto, who said he would come in 2 hours because he was not nearby. I give credit to the local police in Cozumel, who responded quickly, and also called their supervisor to the scene, who took our reports and investigated the closet. We discovered that many rooms, on all four floors of the hotel, have these fake utility closets with windows opening to the shower. None of the closets were locked, and only women had been assigned to these rooms by the front desk clerk. When the owner Gilberto arrived, he initially denied everything, then once the police sergeant supervised the interaction, the owner finally conceded that “because it’s bad for business,” he would repair the shower windows and lock the closets, and he also said Vicktor the peeping tom would be terminated. However Gilberto the owner denied that Angel the desk clerk had any part in covering up the incident or funneling female guests to those rooms. I was very concerned about what appeared to be a serious safety and privacy problem—who knows many staff are involved in their peeping tom operation and how long they’ve been doing it? How young are their victims? Are they taking photos and video too? I’ve never felt so violated and disgusted. There are plenty of nice places to stay in Cozumel, go someplace that takes the privacy and safety of their guests seriously.

Hat eine tolle Zeit in diesem Hotel Lage ist eine fünfminütige Spaziergang von der Fähre Pier. Aussicht ist erstaunlich aus unserem Meerblick Zimmer upgrade gut wert das Geld für sicher, die Blick auf die Kreuzfahrt Schiffe Dock vor uns war wirklich cool. Das kostenlose Frühstücksbuffet war in den Morgenstunden ausgezeichnet. Sehr schöne Stühle rund um den kleinen Splashpool waren auch schöne kleine Bar dort im Poolbereich. Verbrachte den Tag dort einen Tag, um alle Aktionen im Ozean vor uns zu beobachten. Alle Mitarbeiter waren sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Der Preis war gut für die Lage dieses Hotels. Wir mögen wirklich alle Aufzüge im Gebäude. Auch hat ein 7-11 Lager unter dem Hotel offen 24/7 so handig. Würde dieses kleine Hotel sehr empfehlen, freuen sich darauf, dort nächstes Mal zu bleiben

Wir waren unglaublich enttäuscht über dieses Hotel, es sieht 5 Sternen aus, aber die Erfahrung ist nicht. Wir blieben im Juli 2024. Auf der Eincheckung dauerte der gesamte Prozess über eine Stunde, weil sie unsere Buchung für August abgelegt hatten...nicht für Juli. Das war endlich gelöst und wir wurden für ein paar Stunden einen „vorübergehenden“ Raum gegeben. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt waren wir verstanden - diese Dinge passieren und sie bieten eine Lösung. Der Mann auf der Kontrolle war angenehm, aber unglaublich langsam. Wir haben 4 Nächte geblieben und es gibt keinen Zweifel, dass die Lage wunderbar ist und die Zimmer waren wunderschön - obwohl das Frühstück (einschließlich) war grausam und fehlte an den Grundstücken. Brötchen, aber kein Butter oder Schalen usw., wir mussten jedes Mal und oft mehr als ein Mitarbeiter fragen, um es zu bekommen - oft über 20 Minuten. Einen Tag gab es überhaupt kein Buffet, aber niemand konnte erklären, warum. Sie konnten 2 von den 3 verbleibenden Gerichten im Menü bestellen, aber Sie wurden nur eine pro Person erlaubt. Ich hatte Pancakes, aber dann hatte ich das gleiche Fiasko, dass sie mit keinem Sirup kamen und ich musste 2 Mitarbeiter fragen und warten 20 Minuten, um es endlich zu erhalten. Am Samstag Abend haben wir dort geblieben, das Hotel beschlossen, eine Party bis 2.00 Uhr zu werfen.... Unglücklicherweise wurden die Gäste nicht eingeladen oder informiert, so dass wir für mehrere Stunden in unserem Zimmer wach gehalten. Ich ging zur Rezeption, um sich zu beschweren und wurde einem Manager gesagt, dass er morgens mit mir reden würde.. unnötig zu sagen, dass sie nicht. Die Adresse der Hotels ist in der Nähe von der Stadt. Wenn sie Hotelgäste eingeladen und ein Getränk im Haus oder etwas entlang dieser Linien angeboten hätten, wäre es viel sinnvoller. Die gesamte Erfahrung war völlig bizarr und nicht wert der Preis, den sie bezahlten. Ich würde diese Art von Service von einem günstigen örtlichen Gasthaus erwarten, nicht einem 5-Sterne-Resort. Das Personal war überhaupt nicht unbehaglich, aber schlecht organisiert und fehlt an grundlegender Kommunikation.

Das Hotel ist sehr schön und bietet Ihnen einen schönen Aufenthalt mit besonders freundlichem Personal im Restaurant. Sehr schönes Resort mit zwei Stränden und schönen Pools - das Essen im Hotelrestaurant ist ausgezeichnet, so dass wir dort jeden Abend glücklich essen.

We were a family of 7. We had an absolute amazing time. The hotel was very clean. It was more intimate than the usual massive crowed all-inclusives. The staff was extremely friendly. Every time we went to the restaurant, they always knew our favorite table, and right away, sat us there. They always accommodated one of my little picky eater. Our experience wouldn't have been the same without the Gaviotas crew. A special thanks goes to them: Capi Manny, Victor Manuez, and Vicky. Lastly, I cannot say enough about the food. We ate 5* a la carte food everyday. We tried almost everything and the execution was spot on. I honestly cannot say anything bad about our experience. We were so sad to leave. We will definitely be back.

PROs: Across the street from the ocean and a great shore diving spot. Beautifully landscaped grounds, nice pool, beach club, and open-air restaurant with swim-up bar. Traditional Mexican hotel layout with open courtyards and lanais that have nice views of garden and/or ocean. Peaceful vibe. CONs: Most of the restaurants in the area are overpriced Senor Frog/Hooters-type establishments catering to the drink-and-dive crowd. Restaurants in the north of town and just off Centro are much better quality and value, but require a cab into town. Buffet breakfast was carb-heavy steam table fare which was overpriced at more than $15/person. Restaurants in the US would offer this for free. Front desk staff was not particularly friendly or helpful. When my husband lost his bag in the lobby and they did not find it in lost and found, they did not check for it behind the desk until we asked a second time and they magically ”found” it. A little effort and thought here would have made a difference to us. The beach club is nice but the swimming was much too rough for me (located between two piers and the road, with mostly a view of the cruise ships in front). Dieses Hotel hatte eine großartige Lage. Wir waren im nicht renovierten Teil untergebracht, aber nur, weil wir ein größeres Zimmer wollten. Das Hotel bot uns ein Upgrade an, aber wir wollten das Zimmer mit einer Badewanne. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt dort geliebt und würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!
