Loved it, so cozy! Breakfast was amazing! Wish we could have stayed longer!

If we could give this outstanding property a higher review we would. Truly exceptional in every way. We knew the Latch more than 30 years ago as an outstanding fine dining restaurant. Thru a series of events this unique Samuel McClure mansion sat vacant for decades. We were so very pleased to find that new Inn Keepers, David and Michael, have gone to great efforts to restore this historic residence to its former glory. I don’t know how you would describe the attention to detail and interior decorating excellence, every where you look it speaks class and elegance while at the same time wrapping you in a warm and cozy atmosphere. It is everything you would imagine and hope for at a heritage country inn. On arrival, we received a very warm welcome from Innkeeper, David. Our guest room was elegantly appointed while remaining true to its historic grandeur. The sitting room with beautiful Christmas decorations and the fireplace going made you want to cozy up for a long stay and read a book. After a good night’s sleep we went to the beautifully set dining room. Our fabulous breakfast began with a delicious “Latch” bite muffin, we chose Eggs Benedict from a nice selection of breakfast entrees. Our breakfast arrived perfectly prepared and beautifully presented, a true gourmet treat. Our treat night out exceeded all of our expectations, we can hardly wait to return!

Very Handsome Inn on the Marina. Michael and David were fantastic! We we going to arrive fairly late and they communicated quickly and clearly on how we could get into our room and when we arrived the room was superb and the table was set for in-room breakfast that we had requested when we booked. Speaking of breakfast, it was fantastic and delivered to our table by the window overlooking the marina. The hotel itself is rustic in the right way's and while we weren't around for happy/cocktail hour I imagine it would have been quite pleasant. If you're planning on staying in Sidney, I highly recommend the Latch Inn!

My elderly mom and I stayed for 2 nights in the Library suite(Ground level ) This wonderful place is a hidden Gem. Micheal was the perfect host and has such a gift for detail. The breakfasts were so amazing and we enjoyed some lovely wine and a pizza while looking at the marina and beautiful garden. We will definitely be back. Thanks Micheal for making it so special!

A very peaceful ambient setting by the sea. Very charming inn with lovely period decor. Very comfortable room with excellent quality linen and bedding..The hosts were very helpful and the breakfast very good. We enjoyed the lovely garden setting snd a few glasses of wine each afternoon. The host have ensured great attention to detail. We ordered a pizza on out last afternoon and it was absolutely delicious . Thank you for a lovely stay . Cherie and Stephen Collings

Outstanding place to stay. Beautiful view of the ocean, lush grounds well cared for, historical rooms and individually curated breakfasts! Best part is that the building is clearly cared for with love by the gentlemen who own it. Definitely recommend.

This is one of those places where 5 stars are not enough. The bed was like sleeping on clouds. Zzzzzzzzzz….slept so very well! “Really, I have to getup and leave now? Really? Don’t want to go. I want to stay here forever!” The water pressure and copious amounts of hot water were to die for. I could have stayed in the shower for hours! The suite was just wonderful. We staying in the Miraloma Suite. Love, love, loved it. We sat on the private patio with our morning cups of coffee, watching the boats bob about in the marina. The hotel owners were wonderful!! Very professional, friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Nothing was too much trouble. In the evening they brought delicious home made cookies and we thought, ‘oh no! Way too many for just us…’ we later wolfed them all down in front of a roaring fire with a bottle of wine. Oh boy, what a perfect evening experience. When can we move in? Permanently? This more than a sumptuous luxury home from home, this is the dream hotel experience that we all look for in life. I really don’t want to recommend it, because if you all go there, they won’t have space for us….but honestly, you DO need to stay here. Cannot recommend it highly enough, we will be back! As often as we can! Thank you for such an amazing stay.

The suites show attention to detail, and the hosts were very friendly and accommodating. A nice breakfast included.. all well done. comfortable and highly recommended. Perfect out of the way location. Perfect for marina. Will stay again
