"Hotel Review (10/05/2026): Britannia Hotel Coventry: The check out time for Saturday and Sunday guests is 11:00 am instead of 10:00am. The room is comfortable and spacious, it provided a lot of space for relaxation. I like the white on blue colour tune too. There are hairdryer, electrical kettle, heater to be used The bathroom is spacious too. The WiFi and the movable heater are working nicely, yeah! Heater is important because it can be cold if it rains at night. The hotel is very close to the main tourist attractions so I took a walk outside in the morning, and I found out that currently you need to pay an entry fee to gain access to the Herbert Arts Gallery. Still you can always visit their cafe for lunches, coffee and snacks."

"Lovely staffs, It felt warm when a staff greeted me in the morning with a bright smile, the room was tidy in the morning when I got back. Room very clean, toilet and bath was clean as well. Had no concerns felt very safe. I would definitely recommend to use. Rooms are big and convenient."

"This hotel was beautiful. I came for my graduation and this was the perfect spot for us. The receptionists were so nice and welcoming. Each room had a view into the stadium which was amazing for my parents who hadn’t seen this before! I would definitely recommend!"

"1 night for a Uni Open Day- just about acceptable for 1 night! The location is excellent for the uni and town - the hotel not so great - the drains smell from the shower was grim and the heater was mainly on chill setting - definitely one for a short - very short - stay"

"A hotel that’s perfect for public transportation and by car: it’s this. On the square opposite Coventry Rail Station along the main road with drop off access. Part of the IHG brand, the hotel is stuffed with modern, quirky colourful decor including a silver open top Austin Healy in the reception area. The ground floor is one big open space that navigates from lobby to bar to restaurant/breakfast area and an exit where the outdoors semi enclosed seating area is. It’s Britain, so no heaters or covers but it’s an acceptable smoking area! Upon checking in we received a 20% voucher off all the F&B which doesn’t happen often. The kitchen was closed by 9 but we and our friends enjoyed a drink in the bar area. The room was super lovely, all brand new, super clean and nicely decorated. Personalised smart TV but the smart function didn’t work alas! Overall: a wonderful experience!"

"It was an excellent stay at Scarman for me. The room I stayed in was clean, quiet and spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful. This hotel has a good range of food for breakfast and the selection of food for lunch & dinner was not huge but the food was delicious. I went to the University of Warwick to attend my son's graduation which the venue for the ceremony was within walking distance. To sum up, I am impressed with this hotel and will definitely stay here again."

"Wonderful hotel with friendly staff would definitely stay again. Only drawback is parking as the ncp car park which is the closest we had to pay twice as were going out after check in. Cost over 20 quid just for the parking !"

"The location is good as there is 3 big shopping store like Tesco and Home bargain very close to the hotel. There is a big car park outside and you can drive to city center around 15mins"

"Best swimming pool in Conventry, extra £5 per day per visitor, so I didn’t join. Self-check in, no service. Pub and Starbucks downstairs, Friday 4pm onwards free car park until Sunday. Weekday parking fee applies."
