Hotel des Glaciers

This is a gem of a hotel. Family run. Extremely welcoming staff. Everyone was ‘fantastico’. I travel a lot and it does not get any better. My son and I booked in for a four day ski break in Courmayeur. This hotel is just outside the town in village of Dolonne. So quiet at night and only 200m from the gondolier ski lift. The owner gave great advice on getting ski passes and ski hire. Everything was really easy. The food was wonderful at the hotel - the husband is the chef and very good in the kitchen. Also for the price it represents outstanding value.

Very friendly family run hotel. Francesca and team were very welcoming, friendly and informative. Excellent location, 5 minutes from Dolonne gondola, and bus stops outside for easy access to Coumayeur and Skyway. Excellent food for breakfast and dinner.

Stayed for a week at the very end of the skiing season in March/ April 2023. Thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of the stay. The hospitality of the owners and the dinners with a view were definitely a highlight. The location is perfect as well - just a short walk from Dolonne. Will be back for sure! Thank you so very much! We really felt at home. Rare to find such a warm welcome.

Hotel des Glaciers is outstanding for many reasons: 1 - the staff are exceptional 2 - the location is ideal - in Dolonne across from Courmayeur - quiet yet convenient 3 - the hotel has a wonderful playground for children and grandchildren to play while parents / grandparents have an aperitivo 4 - the breakfast is perfect to start the day and is served in a room filled with windows to look at Courmayeur and the surrounding mountains 5 - if interested in hiking the Tour Mont Blanc, the hotel is on the TMB 6 - if interested in mountain biking it is easy to rent bikes nearby at 4810 rental (on Wednesdays the parking lot hosts a farmers market with other retail items for sale)

Great car parking, great location close to town centre and short walk to ski lift, bedroom room a good size with beautiful mountain view, hotel very clean, hospitality second to none (thanks Francesca) breakfast amazing, evening meal great. I could not fault this hotel!!!

Abbiamo soggiornato una notte in questa struttura in mezza pensione e purtroppo e’ stata una delle poche esperienze da dimenticare. Scarsa qualità delle portate, nulla a che vedere della “tipica cena valdostana” (per com’è stata venduta). Menù con sole due scelte di portata a disposizione (due per primi e due per secondi). Totale assenza di buffet. Colazione da rivedere totalmente con piccole porzioni marmellata confezionate. Tre tipi di torta “dello chef” identiche con lo stesso sapore. Qualità prezzo totalmente da rivedere considerando una notte con mezza pensione pari a 355€. Nell’esperienza negativa, ritengo doveroso sottolineare la cordialità del personale. Peccato per il resto.

Ottimo in tutto e per tutto. Estremamente accogliente, ambiente familiare, titolari simpatici e molto disponibili, personale in sala assai gentile. Cucina ottima, tipicamente valdostana, camere gradevolissime, pulite e riordinate con cura. Cabinovia a 300/400 metri, posizione eccellente per chi vuole portarsi sulle piste da sci. Consigliatissimo.

Un hotel 3 stelle in cui il trattamento è a 5 stelle. La struttura si trova nella frazione di Dolonne, a 250 mt dall’ovovia che porta sulle piste. Camera grande il giusto per 2 persone, ristrutturata, sempre pulita. Abbiamo scelto la formula mezza pensione, con colazione (semplice ma molto buona, da prendere assolutamente lo yogurt) e cena (ogni sera pietanze tipiche diverse, buonissime). Presente il parcheggio per auto privato fuori alla struttura. C’è la tavernetta in cui godere del relax sui divani davanti al caminetto, magari gustando un bombardino o una cioccolata calda. La struttura vince grazie alle persone, a cominciare dalla onnipresente Francesca, dalla reception alla cucina al bar, sempre disponibile e preparata, grazie di tutto! Fantastici anche i ragazzi di sala! Ci tornerò

Abbiamo soggiornato 3 notti in questo hotel molto carino e accogliente. Le camere appena ristrutturate abbastanza grandi ,dalla terrazza si gode della vista dell'intera Courmayeur raggiungibile in 10 minuti a piedi oppure con la navetta che ferma proprio davanti.i proprietari carinissimi sempre pronti a dare consigli sulle varie cose da fare e ad accogliere come fosse una famiglia. Anche il cameriere romano gentilissimo e carinissimo.ci ritorneremo....consigliatissimo....Gianni e Patrizia
