I had read nothing but great things about Hotel de Len. But to be honest it was a huge disappointment. The rooms are very small. We were traveling in Italy for nearly a month and had a lot of luggage. When asked to provide a luggage rack we were told there were none available at the time and they offered to put our bags in storage. However, there is virtually no place to store your clothes in the room. The restaurant was lovely as was the staff and the food was very good. But the $800/night cost was not worth it. With that comes a complimentary ONE hour visit to the spa for your entire stay. Moreover, no one can use the spa while you are using it. I am confused as to why offer a spa if hotel guests are limited to its usage AND you are opening the spa to non hotel guests!?!?! When we arrived, there was a woman at the front desk who was not very pleasant, warm or welcoming as some of the other staff members were. If she is the first person you are supposed to interact with as a guest, why wasn't she more cordial, communicative? I was so excited to stay here and really wanted to like this place a lot. But I would not recommend staying here. Go to the restaurant and have a great meal instead - it is well worth it! I travel often and know a good hotel when I stay at one. For those who wrote incredibly high praise, I would love to know what your bar is.
