Hôtel le Bastia ist ein wunderschönes Hotel auf den Höhen von Bastia Die Zimmer sind geräumig und sauber in perfekter Harmonie mit seinen drei Sternen Der Swimmingpool, auch wenn er nur drinnen ist, ist nach einer Motorradtour sehr angenehm Das Personal ist freundlich und angenehm Klein Nachteil ist, dass es laut einigen Buchungsseiten im Stadtzentrum liegt. Dies ist nicht der Fall. Der alte Hafen ist mehr als einen Kilometer zu Fuß entfernt und nicht 750 Meter, wie angegeben

Eine herrliche Lage mit einer Aussicht, für die Sie keine Worte haben. Die Zimmer sind wunderschön, sehr komfortabel und gemütlich. Sehr freundliches Personal, reichhaltiges Frühstück. Vor allem Parkplätze sind vorhanden! Außerdem sind die Preise mehr als korrekt. Ich kann dieses Hotel nur wärmstens empfehlen

Wir waren 3 Nächte im Hotel, haben uns für ein Zimmer mit Meerblick entschieden.Das Zimmer ist geräumig, der Blick auf das Meer und die Zitadelle der Altstadt ist ein Traum. Das Badezimmer ist sehr sauber. Die Klimaanlage funktioniert gut im Zimmer, fehlt aber auf den Fluren. Der Frühstücksraum hat auch eine tolle Aussicht. Die Vorschläge sind wichtig mit lokalen Marmeladen Orangen Zitrone Birnen. Salzig wie süß. Das Personal ist sehr angenehm. Das Schwimmbad steht Ihnen auch nach 20 Uhr zum Entspannen zur Verfügung. Das Parken ist sehr bequem.

Reception: Lady at reception was far too busy chatting and eating with other staff at the bar to greet us, as we walked into the hotel at 9.30pm. Once acknowledged she was helpful and explained the hotel details. Upon departure and checkout there was no conversation, no question “if i enjoyed my stay”, nothing, the staff were more interested in chatting to each order. Room / facilities: Room number 001 is on the ground floor (floor 0) and is clean, quiet large and faces a busy small street. This makes the room noisy when the window is open. There is a semi self control air conditioning, where heat and cool is controlled centrally , but we control the fan speed and temperature, there is a window that opens. The room has 2 very comfortable single beds made into 1x king bed, square pillows (not normal length pillows and no additional pillows), coffee maker with 2x free coffee pods (don’t ask for additional ones as these cost €1.50 each), there is no tea or instant coffee facilities or sugar/milk offered, there is a microwave, fridge, separate toilet room, bathroom with shower only, clothes hanging area with safe, full length mirror, desk and flat screen TV. There is not even a welcome water bottle is offered to new guests. Parking: is available at an additional cost of €4 per night Wifi: Complementary and really good speed, password required. Breakfast: Available for additional cost, but not utilised on this stay. Conclusion: Poorly designed rooms, noisy rooms with street (city) view, ocean view rooms also see the remains of old basketball courts once used by the previous land owner, the water views are distant and to be honest, not worth the extra money, staff are not overly friendly, but just MEH. Letdowns: Where do i start: - Poor design of rooms, - microwave and coffee machine are on one side of the bench, but there is no power outlet behind the machines, these items need to be moved along the bench to be plugged in to function, - the fridge cupboard has no fridge inside as there is no power outlet for the fridge to be plugged in, the fridge is placed next to the bed and is quiet loud to be functional at night when in use, - bedside power outlets are located under the bed side tables making them very hard to use - the spare toilet roll is sitting on the “in use” roll holder and the spare will easily fall off when the other “in use” roll is used, the only place to put the spare roll is on the floor. - lighting is terrible in the room, as there is no light above the microwave bench, nearest one is near the entry door and does not shine enough light on the bench, - the shower has NO light in the cubical, and a small light over the bathroom sink which does not shine much light into the shower making it dark, - there is black mould in the shower corner, - the carpet just off the bathroom entry tiles is wet, - there is no shower curtain or screen to stop water going all over the floor in front of the shower entry and bathroom sink

Very clean hotel with smart furnishings. Nice atmosphere, reasonably priced. Excellent firm bed with cozy duvet. My room had a kitchen sink, cabinets and a refrigerator but no dishes or utensils. Located up on the hill, but within a 15 minute walk to the old port.

Clean room, poor view and ventilation but OK to sleep. Small yet clean bathroom. Disappointing swimming pool (inside , no view, strong chlorine smell). No restaurant available on site ; breakfast not included ; hotel bar is just a check-in-the-box.

Hotel Le Bastia is a well appointed three-star hotel. The hotel rooms are nice (we stayed in a two bed apartment- still part of the hotel building) which was spacious with a large bathroom and another separate toilet. The rooms are nicely decorated and the hotel was opened in 2020, so is relatively new. When you first enter your room, it can be quite dark as they have sliding shutters over the windows and from the outside and inside they look a little austere. However, they can be easily opened to let in the light and do a great job of keeping the sun at bay - which is very welcome, as it is HOT in Bastia in July! On the subject of temperature, Bastia was much more humid than other Mediterranean locations I have been to, mainly, one guesses to the proximity of the mountains, which the mist and clouds cling to quite often. Good news then, that the hotel rooms have great air-conditioning and it's quite a relief to step into q cool and less humid room after a day out exploring. The breakfast is adequate, lacking some variation, but in-line with other breakfasts I've had in France and at similar level hotels, like Best Western. Don't expect bacon, sausages or fresh made-to-order omelettes. The breakfast staff are warm and attentive and made our morning meals a pleasure. The view over Bastia from the breakfast area really starts your day off well. The reception staff were wonderful; friendly and engaging and delighted to help out where they can, in particular Ann Lore and Alice, classy and professional - make a great team. The only issue we had was with the cleaning staff, who l did a poor job of cleaning (the floor was filthy and there was a small amount of broken glass in a walk-in closet when we arrived) and didn't change the sheets until half-way through our second week. We didn't complain initially (we were trying to relax - plus we're British, lol!) but an incident where they came to clean and we asked for five minutes and they refused and started cleaning anyway because they were finishing for the day, was the last straw (they also left us no toilet rolls - none at all for five people). In Reception, Alice handled it beautifully, informing me that the sheets should be changed every three days. She called management to deal with them and Ann arranged for the floor to be mopped. Both these things were done the next morning. The swimming pool is small but lovely to look at and nice to hang out around. Unfortunately, the pool filters could do with some cleaning as there was quite a build up of hair and debris, like people's old plasters, that was a bit off-putting! Bastia is a port and is served by ferries from France and Italy, thus many guests only stay a day or two. We stayed for a whole two weeks and apart from the issue with the cleaners, we had a really lovely time. The only two things that might have improved our stay, would be larger safes in the room.
