Panic, Bleach, and a Killer View – Our D03 Reality Check Total panic after reading the D03 review – it was savage. I mean, yeah, it’s rated 2 stars… but the location is a solid 5 stars (and then some). Walked in expecting a disaster, but nope – the place was clean as a whistle. Was there a bit of a pong in the bathroom? Sure. Solution: bleach + air freshener = no drama. The fan’s got cardboard-ish spacers (DIY vibes), the curtain poles are doing their best Titanic impression, and the appliances are slowly rusting into retirement. Oh, and a few scuffs on the walls – shocking for a holiday rental, right? 🙄 But hey – it’s humid, it’s coastal, and people are in and out of this place constantly. It’s not a showroom, it’s a holiday base. And for that, it’s spot on. We had an absolutely fab first day. Wi-Fi? Fast. Shower? Decent. Views? Drop-dead gorgeous. Coffee table’s a bit battered, but I’ve already put my feet on it, so I’m hardly helping the situation. Bottom line: If you want spotless perfection, book a spa resort. If you’ve got a bit of common sense and want a comfy base to crash between beach trips and ice creams, this place is a win. Curious to see what I’ll say by the end of the week!

Just back from here. We had a fab 7 days. We were in 2 bed sea view D05. If your coming here expecting the earth your not going to get it. We didn't arrive till 12am and did struggle to find our room. The door is inside the restaurant with the smallest numbers on the door which were very easily missed. The living room had aircon which worked a treat, the 2 rooms had ceiling fans that done nothing but rotate the warm air. Twin room was in the main part of the apartment and a double room was situated at the back of the apartment, separated by an outside area (which is a total waste of space, that could be utilised into something great). We had free WiFi that again worked a treat. The double room had a huge comfy bed. Cleaners came in once during the week but no clean towels just a general tidy round. The outside patio area was huge with 4 sunbeds and a table & 4 chairs. It was a suntrap. We were directly above the restaurant but we heard or smelt nothing other than the singers they had on. The kitchen area was very small but we had no intention of cooking. We ate out every meal so only used the kettle. We did have ants appear most days but bug spray was in the cupboard so no biggy to us. I'd maybe take some ant traps just incase. You have a free safe which was handy and the view was incredible. All in all we had a great stay and would stay here again as it is top notch for location.

OK, we have just arrived back (03/07/25). room 11 RUBIA The good points . Beds comfy Location Great. The end. Negative Points. Reception assistance awful. The cleaning of the rooms non-existent, twice in 14 days. The smell of sewage occurred on a regular basis in the apartment. But the worst part was the continual smell of grease from the restaurant at the front of the apartment was nauseating , you could not have the windows open.

Stay well clear . Accomadation around the pool is terrible . Smelt badly of mould . Mould stains on the ceiling , curtains etc . The extra mattress was very badly stained , really aweful . Bathroom door wouldn’t shut so no privacy at all . Management knew about this and said oh yes the door is to big for the frame . The door defiantly was and nothing done about it . It was also swollen and splitting from water damage and had been like that for some time . Shower door only hinged at the top.. a real safety hazard . Very basic accommodation . Pool area not good . Barriers around the area were very loose and another safety issue especially if you had small children . Only redeeming thing is its near the beach .

Just returned from tao calleta hotel. Staff are amazing, friendly and welcoming,beach is close but a good walk to the pristine area which is stunning without a doubt. Our room was nice with a terrace with sunbeds on ground floor we didn't use it as no privacy from next door either side. Cleaning maid was fantastic room was spotless. Location to beach is good but 30 mins walk to main amenities but taxis are reasonably priced and hotel will ring one for you which was helpful. Hotel is small but everything you need except as the hotel is b an b it really needs a on site shop for essentials and snacks with can buy coffee, teas cake and ice cream which is great but no provision for hot snacks. Terrace area to front of hotel is very bland no greenery or colour, just isn't inviting. Pool area is bland too , views are good, stunning sunsets from hotel. The hotel is lovely and quite, but nothing else around it. The hotel has a bar selling alcoholic drinks and staff who serve are lovely very friendly. Pleasant stay although a few minor faults.

We booked a poolside apartment which was such a mistake.So we immediately rang Jet 2 to find us a different hotel.To be fair to Jet 2 they were very responsive and tried to reallocate us ,but as it was festival time all hotels for our 12 day stay were full. The kitchen was dilapidated with blistered surfaces, dreadfully scratched mini hob controls and a door which no longer closed. When we arrived there was no soap or a towel in the downstairs bathroom.The towels were the strangest I`ve known ,absolutely non absorbent. The shower leaked, the dated bathroom unit had a discoloured top and a flickering light. The bedroom had 2 single beds,hard pillows and no chest of drawers. The message inside the apartment had a most unwelcome message regarding any key loss. Non of the guests I met were happy with the accommodation. I helped a couple who unfortunately locked themselves out literally on arrival from the Uk. As there is no one available outside set hours we rang the Jet 2 helpline who were very helpful thank goodness, eventually a very angry receptionist arrived to help the couple in. To be fair the cleaning staff were helpful and friendly.
