We moved here from a hotel in town, on October 3rd, in order to have a way to cook our own food, access to a pool, and also a beach type area on Corozal bay.. seems like a win-win right? It was anything but that. We checked in and moments later the air conditioner turned off. We believed it would be fixed soon, so it was our mistake to stay. Stay we did up until October 7th. The night of October 6th the power went out at 1:45 in the morning. I thought I was being cooked all night long. I don't know if I've ever been so hot. My nebulizer was useless. No fan, no visit from the owner to let us know that she understood what was going on. It was radio silence until 7:30 in the morning when she let us know that she knew the power was out. Now, Penny was very nice the whole time we were there, however, she did not let us know at all that there was grid power in the room by using two outlets in the kitchen (The guest house is on solar) This would have at least allowed us to keep cool with the fan. We ended up checking out, and moving on to Belize City earlier than we expected. The only bright light to this whole entire reservation, was Bailey the dog. We fell in love with this dog. That's the only positive I have.
