An excellent stay, all round... From a warm welcome with Thomas at reception to a beautiful breakfast with very hospitable staff incl Jane who served us. The hotel provides High speed WiFi, lovely facilities such as the pool sauna and jacuzzi. The bedrooms and bathrooms are large and decorative. The bath is large and deep. I will recommend this place to everyone. Absolutely a bargain for under 200 euro one Sunday in September.

We stayed at the hotel for 4 days during our wedding weekend and it was such a wonderful stay. Accommodation ,food, staff & overall atmosphere in the hotel is amazing. Beautiful gardens & golf course are an extra bonus.Can't wait to return for another stay.

I was extremely disappointed with our stay. On arrival we decided to upgrade our room as this was our first night away with our 8 week old baby. Our tablet did not work in the room which was resolved on the second day. On the second day our key card didn’t work , our baby needed to be fed and we couldn’t get into our room as we had to go all the way down to reception for a staff member to open the door. Maintenance came to our room and told us he would return with working key cards. We waited the entire evening for him to return as we had no key card which he never did. As I said previously we had an 8 week old baby that we had to wait in the room for a key card and this resulted in us unable to dine out that evening. On our last day after breakfast we had to get another member of staff at the front desk to help us into our room as we had no key card and this issue was resolved an hour before check out. The maintenance staff said they were cutting the key wrong. I was extremely frustrated and disappointed with our stay which I expressed to the staff memeber who opened our door on the last day. We upgraded to the deluxe suite and paid over €500 on our room for us not recieve 5 star experience. This is extremely disheartening as I choose this hotel as a treat for my partner and I to enjoy with our newborn baby , as we sought for a seamless stay in a 5 star hotel which we did not receive.

We stayed for one night and from the moment we arrived it was such a warm and cosy atmosphere. The reception area of the hotel was stunning, I could have sat in front of the fire with a book and wine and not moved for a week!! We had food in the bar which was excellent, bedroom was very relaxing and comfortable. Pool facilities were very modern and spotless. Breakfast the next morning was a highlight for us, we were looked after by Jane who was amazing! Great selection from the buffet and plenty of choice on the menu. I couldn't fault anything, we left feeling very chilled and relaxed! Next time we plan to stay for longer, fit in the spa and a round of golf. We are looking forward to booking again!

A wonderful one night stay on a winter package, with dinner in The Cove. Perfect 24 hours from start to finish. Early check-in, wonderful lunch and Guinness, relaxed in the pool, jacuzzi and sauna, rested some more and then fine dining in The Cove, topped off with a cocktail before a dreamy sleep.

Great stay. John and GM and his team are top notch! We stayed in one of the self catering houses and it was very large and clean. I would certainly come back. At the end of the day it’s the staff that make or break any trip, and the hospitality for everyone at Fota was top class!
