The hotel was staffed with 3 very incompetent and not helpful staff at reception. Easy of them did not know their way around the computer system, took a long time with each client (up to 20-25 minutes per client), and didn’t have answers to basic questions. Upon our arrival, we had checked in and chosen a room on the Hilton Honors app. We arrived and someone else was in the room. We were told the app doesn’t really work.
Then we got to the room and it was fine. Overnight, the sheer noise from the air conditioning and the ceiling fan were so loud, neither of us could sleep. It is summer and in Houston, so cool air is paramount.
The next day, our toilet overflowed without being stopped up. I called down 3 times and no one answered. Went down to the front desk, there were 3 people in line and there was only one person behind the desk. I had to wait, but then we had to leave because I was in town for my daughter’s wedding.
They finally got to us, our clothes, suitcases, etc were soaked as the carpet was soaked!
Then they tried to fix it but couldn’t move us to a different room as it was sold out.
Today, I tried to wash clothes and it required quarters. Who still does that? They couldn’t give me any cash on my card or on my account, so we had to drive somewhere to get cash, etc!
Last night, one of our friends had pre-booked and prepaid. Her room was given away and at 11 pm, she had to go to a new hotel. We want some or all of our money back. This stay, staff and hotel were awful.
