Upon check in, I was interrogated and bullied by the staff at the front desk about my service animal. I am required to travel for work and allowed to bring my service animal for medical purposes( whom is registered, and trained).The staff bullied me to the point I couldn’t think straight (hence why I have a service animal) and I was pressured into paying the “pet” fee, even though I explained everything in detail. I have never had this happen to me. Furthermore, I was never acknowledged as a Diamond member and was passed off as soon as other guests arrived at the counter. The staff never explained where my room was located or the other welcome details that guests and diamond members receive. The next day I was harassed by housekeeping to clean the room. They demanded I allowed them inside, even though I repeatedly told them I was on a conference call for work and cannot be disturbed (I had the do no disturb card on the door knob). They harassed me twice by door and then proceeded to call the room phone and allowed it to ring for almost an entire minute. Aside from the awful situation with the staff, the hotel is moderately clean because it’s still newly renovated. During check out, I asked for a copy of the pet policy I signed under duress. The lady said she couldn’t provide it for me because it was locked. She said it would be emailed to me. A week and half later I still haven’t received it. There are so many other hotel options in the area . You stay at the Spark at your own risk.
