Hotel El Mirador ★★★★

"Used this hotel as a base for property hunting near Montefrio and surrounding area. For £65 a night including breakfast, this was an exceptional hotel for the price. I have stayed in many similar hotels for a lot more money. Staff were great, very helpful considering we spoke no Spanish and some of the staff spoke no English. The rooms were very modern and the beds comfortable. The location has fantastic views over Loja and is close enough to the motorway to make this a great stop between Granada and Malaga. Prices in the bar for food and drinks were very reasonable, we paid €42 for 3 meals and a round of drinks. The terrace in the Summer would be fantastic to chill out and enjoy the views. Loja is a small spanish town, so it is not reasonable to believe there will be lots of choice for restaurants and bars. Out of season it is quiet, ideal for relaxing. We tried the Spa facilities for €18 each and again the facilities were exceptional for the price. I would highly recommend this hotel for a few nights stop over, providing you have a car."

"Ein Straßenhotel, um die Nacht zu verbringen, wenn er dich überholt, das Problem kommt, wenn eine marokkanische Familie erschienen, und das schien eine Party. Es war nicht möglich, mehr als eine Stunde zu schlafen, man hörte überall. Das Bett auf V, das ich mit Schmerzen hinterlassen habe, abgesehen von der Armee von Färsen in meinem Bett, sieht aus, dass jemand etwas Essen für sie oder etwas hinterlassen hat, das super arme Frühstück, fast besser nicht bezahlen. Das einzige gute war das Mädchen von Rezeption, das sehr nett war."

"I am writing this review based on a message sent by the hotel through the trip.com platform (which is ok) and a "satisfaction survey" email message sent directly to my email address despite of my explicitly expressed disagreement for receiving unsolicited marketing communication at the time of the check-in (which is not ok). The hotel staff is very kind and friendly. There are lot of free parking spaces on the street which is very convenient. The area is calm and quiet. Rooms are clean, but the soundproofing is not as good as they pretend. Since rooms are just meters away from the reception and the entrance of the cafe, in the mornings the noise is disturbing. I would recommend the hotel with the expectation they will take the more seriously the requests for opting out of marketing information."
