Mein Problem war mit der Buchung. Bei der Ankunft im Lakeside Hotel wurde uns gesagt, dass wir keine Reservierung hatten, erst nachdem sie meine Buchungsnummer mehrmals angegeben hatten, fanden sie meine Reservierung. Meine Familie und ich reisten 8 Stunden mit dem Van an, um anzukommen und uns wurde gesagt, dass wir keine Reservierung hatten. Nachdem wir festgestellt hatten, dass die Buchung online über Trip.com abgeschlossen war, teilte uns das Check-in-Personal mit, dass in ihrem Hotel ein Stromausfall aufgetreten sei und wir ins Grand gebracht würden. Bei der Ankunft im Grand mussten wir den gesamten Buchungsprozess noch einmal durchgehen, was mir bei der Buchung vier Personen und bei der Hotelreservierung nur zwei zeigte. (einmal gefunden) Nach fast zwei Stunden beim Einchecken mussten wir schließlich ein zweites Zimmer buchen, um unsere Kinder unterzubringen. Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob ich die Seite noch einmal verwenden werde.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Cinnamon Lake, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was treated to top-notch service. The checking-in process was seamless and efficient, thanks to the friendly and welcoming staff Govindu and Tharanga.They made me feel like a valued guest, taking the time to explain all the amenities and services available. Their warm smiles, attentive nature, and genuine enthusiasm made all the difference. The hotel itself is modern, clean, and tastefully decorated. Throughout my stay, the staff continued to impress me with their attention to detail and commitment to excellence. Except few staff Lobby Bar and also the person who work night shift with DM on 17th March. I experienced an issue with my room kettle and when I tried to contact the operator, they didn't answer. I took it to the reception to check if the issue was with the kettle or the plug point. Unfortunately, one of the staff member standing next to Duty Manger (17th March, Midnight shift) at the reception was laughing and making funny faces, making me feel embarrassed. I appreciate DM response in sending a new kettle to my room. However, I hope the hotel can address the staff's behavior to ensure guests feel respected and attended to properly. Restaurant staff at breakfast Chef Iran (who marking hoppers)and the lady who was with the Saree) friendly, courteous, and eager to please. In short, my stay at Cinnamon Lake was outstanding, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a comfortable, convenient, and enjoyable stay.

My friend and I travelled to Colombo in January from the UK. The hotel is large, modern, well appointed. Comfortable bedrooms, ample choice at breakfast (which can get busy). Our room had a Lakeside view, pretty enough, but it also overlooked the poolside bar/club which had loud music playing till the very early hours, rendering sleep a challenge. I would recommend checking this, before you book, or stay on the other side of the hotel. However, what soured our stay was that the day after we checked in at the hotel, we were victims of a scam. As we left the hotel to walk to the local temple in the morning (still jet lagged), a man claiming to be a hotel employee started a conversation with us. He claimed his name was Sangha Perera. He appeared to be helpful, giving us directions. As it was raining, he advised us that taking a tuk tuk around the main tourist attractions would be easier and cheaper. As he was connected to the hotel, we trusted him. He 'found' us a tuktuk, and even joined us acting as an unnoficial guide. Eventually he ended up taking us to an 'officially credited' government approved jewellery shop, which had 50% off,  he even told us a percentage of profits would be donated to tsunami orphans. We were pressurised by the shop management (all men) into purchasing items.  After that the tuktuk driver told us the ride for 2.5 hours would cost equivalent of £100 in rupees, and things got very heated until we paid up. We reported the matter to the Jeevani Perera, Lobby Manager at Colombo Cinnamon Lakeside hotel. She told us the man did not work at the hotel, and an identical incident had happened previously. We also spoke to the hotel security officer, who said he would check hotel security videos. Later we even sent them photos of the man claiming to be an hotel employee and the tuktuk driver. We were disappointed to receive no response from them. BE WARNED if you stay at this hotel. Scammers are working around there, and the hotel seemingly turns a blind eye, without advising guests checking in! (SEE PHOTOS OF SCAMMERS ATTACHED). Am sure the same thing goes on outside other hotels too... We eventually went to the local police, who were helpful, and they went with us to get our money back from the jewellery shop (Lanka Sapphire Lapidary PVT Ltd., no 83 Dharmaphala Mawatha, Colombo 07), but it was not easy to do so. A salutary lesson.

Excellent 5 star hotel, with all necessary amenities. They have 3 clay tennis courts. Very good breakfast available in very affordable price. The only thing to improve is to have one or two hard courts considering the climate conditions.

Great location being the only resort hotel in the City of Colombo which is central, very convenient and good parking facilities.

It was a pleasant stay,staff was very helpful.

One of the worst rooms i have ever been during my two month vacation. Unbelievable that they can offer rooms of this quality. had lunch buffet in the restaurant and it was filthy around and under the tables after children had thrown food on the ground and no one bothered to clean up until i asked them as it was so bad. The front desk should have known to give a decent room to a canadian passport holder even if i was a local living out of the country for 50 years and travelled the world but never seen such dirty badly maintained rooms.

Excellent customer service that words can’t express 😊❤️ Friendly staffs are helpful at all the time we was stayed in this memorable perfect hotel , highly recommend hotel for everyone who travel to Colombo city srilanka

What a great hotel, it certainly didn't dissapoint! We were upgraded to a room with a view of the lake which was beautiful. We had Christmas dinner buffet and it was one of the best ever, with an amazing amount of choice.The staff were very friendly and helpful, they certainly know what hospitality means. Easy to recommend!
