Soaring Eagle Waterpark and Hotel

Pros- Cheaper, fair priced food, included shuttle to casino, clean and updated, nice TVs, efficient use of waterpark space Cons- somewhat smaller, hecka chlorine vapory, no 18+ hot tub (no peace! Haha) Overall, I guess I feel like I got a great value for my family, but the takeaways are quite critical. I stayed for a night, and found my room to be immaculate and clean, though it looked like the toilet bowl could use a very slight refresh. Everything else, I felt I could trust to be clean, which isn’t often for me at resorts like these. The shuttle to the casino is great, as all of the dads in our group found it to be quite an advantage in our small vacation. The drivers are so chill. Had they put a tap-to-tip in, I probably would have. For a weekend spring break trip, and a $240 one night cost with waterpark passes across both days of the visit, I have little complaints from my party. The takeaways are mainly that the place is fumey. Maybe I am just sensitive, but the lobby has a very fragrant smell that I’m not the biggest fan of, and that transitions into the waterpark where there is an INSANE chlorine/chloramine smell that overtakes me in just an hour or two. My eyes sting quite bad, and I’ve seen much higher populated parks than this with no issues similar. However, I still can’t help but think for the price I paid, it’s worth a shot. Michigan is so slept on.

It is an okay water park experience. Slightly smaller than some of the other big name parks. They still have everything you would need, lazy river, toddler area, hot tub and surfing area. Water wasn't overly warm, but it was fine. It has a sauna and steam room as well which was nice. Arcade has the basic offerings, again not huge but suffice. They have 1 sit down restaurant and 1 food court. Food was fine at both. Simple but suffice. Room was simple, but worked for what we needed. It has microwave and fridge which was helpful. Overall it is cheaper than some of the water parks, but you get what you pay for. I would return.

We were able to check-in just before 4pm. Made our way up to our room and were taken back by the smell as soon as we opened the door. I think it may have been from the air conditioner but the room smelled horrible. Room was okay, no frills, pretty run down. Bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. Nothing like the resort at the casino! Waterpark: Went right down to the water park after we checked in. Make sure to bring towels from home! They do not supply towels for the waterpark. I was glad that I caught that on the website before going. Decided to go in the lazy river first which was absolutely freezing. Got out and headed to the pool which was much better and a perfect temperature. Our visit took a massive turn when my daughter decided that she wanted to go on the Flowrider. She needed a waiver signed. The area around this attraction is unbelievably slippery!! They have signs and some grippers but not enough. I slipped and fell, smashing my head on the ground and somehow ended up with two gaping wounds on my foot. Went to first aid where they are highly untrained and unhelpful. They wiped me up with some paper towel and stuck some bandaids on it. I bled through those very quickly and made a run to Target for antiseptic and more bandaids. I ended up with a very infected wound despite cleaning and treating it myself as soon as I could. I could not use the waterpark for the rest of our stay. Waterpark is better suited for younger children (12 & younger), my teens that were with me bored very quickly but my younger child loved it. Food: We visited the restaurant and the counter in the waterpark. At both places the service was unbelievably slow. We did a carry out breakfast for my daughter from the restaurant which after waiting we received cold, barely edible food. Waterpark options were plenty. Typical items and the quality that you would expect. Nice little store in the lobby offered lots of drink and snack options. If you want a meal, take a break and head outside of the resort. Overall: We're unlikely to return. Definitely not worth the price that we paid for the night. Accommodations and amenities need an update! I would hope that would include better safety precautions as well.

We had a great time here and can't wait to go again this winter. Very clean, Waterpark was fun,and ALMOST all of the staff were friendly and courteous. Had a minor issue with Sabrina in the food court who apparently is miserable in her job and treats customers like a bother. Reported this to her supervisor. Hopefully, the resort weeds out people like this because literally everyone else in the building were so nice and friendly! We will definitely be back!

Stayed 1 night and had a fabulous time. Large clean and comfy rooms. Small arcade on site . Smaller water park but still great my 4 year old had an amazing time. Restaurants on site serve decent food . I would return, we got a great deal so It was good value

Soaring Eagle Waterpark and Hotel The waterpark is excellent. Huge place. Many slides for everyone. Plenty of water! They even have the flowrider. A simulated water board or surfing machine. Great experience for anyone of all ages. Young or old. Only one in Michigan. In fact, not many places in the Midwest have this machine at all. You will love it. Highly Recommended
