We booked this as we knew our flight home to Glasgow Airport was landing late and we could not face the long drive home at such a time. By the time we cleared with our bags and walked to the hotel from the terminal it was 2am when we checked in. Unfortunately we were given room 115, which was opposite the elevators on the first floor. It was also not only an accessible room with wet bathroom (no shower unless you wanted to flood the whole room) but also had a ”connecting” door to the next room. No idea who was on the either side, but not ideal for either of us given our late arrival. I was feeling extremely tired and and went straight to my bed - unfortunately it was far too soft and it was a double, so we tended to fall into the middle where the ”hole” or ”dip” in the mattress was. With us both trying to sleep on the outside of the mattress for comfort we continually pulled the small duvet from each other in an attempt to keep warm after our return from Africa. The pillows were also too soft for my liking, however that was minor compared to the mattress. There hours later, at around 5am the corridor started coming alive with excited children heading off on their holidays, running and squealing, literally!! I can't blame them for being enthusiastic, but perhaps their parents might have understood that some guests might still wish to sleep at that time? Thus our morning continued so when we finally dragged ourselves up for breakfast around 9am I was extremely tired and somewhat grumpy... Now to breakfast; a fairly good selection was on offer if you came at a quiet time. I saw some guests leave towards the end our meal time as they did not want to wait in the queue for what was left. My main gripe about the breakfast was again, not the hotel's fault, but the guests, who presumably are not used to staying in hotels and don't know what swerving utensils are for. I saw one female guest pick up and touch several slices of bread and returning them before picking what she put in the toaster machine. I purposely picked a slice she hadn't pawed and waited whilst it went through the machine, then just as it arrived a young man (her son I believe) whisked it away in front of me. Manners non existent. The breakfast staff were helpful and friendly and the food on offer was perfectly adequate if all the guests knew how to behave. All in all, we picked this hotel for a catch up sleep after a late flight in and we didn't achieve that so we will not be back.

Insgesamt ist es okay. Die Lage ist im Zentrum der Stadt, die Straße ist bequem. Schließlich ist es eine große Hotelmarke, und das Grundstück ist okay. Es gibt drei schlechte Erfahrungen: 1. Service: Das ist drei Uhr am Nachmittag in Großbritannien. Ich bin um eins angekommen, ein junger Junge empfängt, und ich kann nicht leben, um zu bleiben, und ich sage, ich muss bis drei warten. Ich bin gefahren, ich habe mehr als 30 Stunden Flugzeug gefahren. Es gibt keinen Weg, ich musste warten. Das Ergebnis war, dass andere Leute direkt gekommen sind. Ich versuchte, einen anderen zu finden, der wie der Leiter aussieht, direkt zu tun. Das Ergebnis war, dass die Leute nicht gefragt haben. Das macht mich wütend. Weiß macht mich fast eine Stunde trocken. Zu stark.2. Der Wind, der aus der Klimaanlage herausgeht, hat immer einen Geschmack von Chemikalien, schließen Sie es kalt und schmeckt. 3. Der Fitnessraum hat eine individuelle Überschneidung, ging nach keine Zahlen und der Kellner sagte, es sei kein Strom. Ich habe mehrere Worte gesagt, die ich nicht verstanden habe. Am nächsten Tag ging ich noch ohne Strom, wechselte einen Kellner oder sagte, es sei kein Strom. Am dritten Tag ging ich, trocknete ich den Kelch und nahm ihn ab. Ich bin auch unsachgemäß.

Wir waren überrascht, dass wir bei der Ankunft eine kostenlose Upgrade erhalten, die ein toller Anfang für unseren Urlaub war. Das Zimmer war schön, sauber und komfortabel. Erstaunliche Wasserdruck in der Dusche - es fühlte sich wie ich unter einem Wasserfall! :) Wir beschlossen, unser Abendessen im Hotel zu haben, das schön war. Check-out am nächsten Morgen war super schnell und mit nur einen kurzen Spaziergang über die Straße zum Flughafen konnte man keine bessere Lage.

Avoid room 10 at all costs!!! A very disappointing ‘hotel’ (I use that word loosely) with zero amenities and no staff anywhere to be found except for late at night. Even then, the single person working could not find any milk when I requested it and failed to leave some by my room in the morning as offered. I know that staff were reduced due to the pandemic, but all other hotels I have stayed in had at least someone to welcome you and see to it that questions and requests were dealt with. The front doors are locked 24/7 - yes, even during the day, This should be listed on airbnb, not as a hotel. The bar and restaurant were closed “due to COVID”, even though all COVID restrictions are now lifted. The room cost £80 per night which is extremely expensive for what was in fact just a tiny, noisy room with none of the expected benefits of being in a hotel. The bathroom was so tiny I couldn't bend down to wash my feet in the shower! I couldn't wash in the basin as the toiletry shelf was in the way. The plumbing must be as old as the house because the noise was horrendous. I booked this ‘hotel’ because it looked far more glamorous in the photos than it really is. I could have had a bigger, more comfortable, quiet room safe in the knowledge that there are staff on reception for half the price at a premier inn - and with a king size bed. If I had been alone in the room I would not have felt safe. This was like a low budget B&B with no access to anything other than the room itself. I will definitely not book again. At no point did I feel that the hotel was welcoming or that I was safe. I simply cannot understand why there were no reception staff at all and no bar or breakfast availability. I also paid a £50 deposit for what, I really do not know. I will be watching to see if that gets returned.
