Railton Hotel

I stayed at the Railton Hotel for 2 nights ,using it as my base for walking at Cradle Mountain.Nearer options were prohibitively expensive , and I had my own hire car, so was happy to do the 1 hr drive from Railton to Cradle . The pub itself is old style, but good honest accommodation,situated on the second floor above the bar and restaurant. My room was huge,with high ceilings.Not fancy, but perfectly comfortable. my room had a single and a double bed, a small fridge, a sink , ample cupboard hanging space, a TV, anda small table and chairs. Windows looking out on Railton,s main Street. I slept well both nights, and had dinner downstairs one night, a good steak. Staff were very friendly. Railton is a well kept and pleasant small country town.My room was $75 a night for a single person. I think it’s good value and would definitely return.
