Dromoland Castle

From the moment we arrived we could not fault anything in our visit. The rooms were pricey but we were here for a special occasion and enjoyed every minute. The staff from housekeeping to reception were all lovely and available to help at anytime. The doormen were constantly on the move but always stopped to check everything was ok. The cleanliness of every bedroom, restaurants, bar, etc was top notch which staff constantly going around checking in this. The food was delicious, with local/Irish sourced ingredients. I particular enjoyed the breakfast with a wide variety of choice. My personal favourite was the French toast. The bar also had a nice food menu which was just as delicious even though it wasn’t the main restaurant. The gym was good and had just what I needed to continue with my routine and the swimming pool was well maintained and included in our stay. A wonderful experience.

Rooms The rooms were excellent - spacious, lovely comfortable beds strong water pressure , all around the best room we stayed in during our trip in Ireland Food The breakfast was delicious - dinner was very good , although expensive . I loved the mixed drinks ( the emperor) except expensive but very tasty Grounds Stunning grounds, very clean, gorgeous greens - relaxing and beautiful Falconry Absolutely my favorite experience during my entire trip in Ireland- Dave was incredibly knowledgeable , kind and fun to learn from - the birds were extraordinary! I cannot recommend this experience enough - a definite must do !!! Absolutely loved it Service The service staff were top notch ! Fun, helpful , professional and strong - carried our luggage up lots of stairs -

Stayed here 3 nights on Ireland trip and what an amazing place. Not a single thing was less than excellent, whether it’s dinner in restaurant, cocktail in bar, or just taking in this beautiful place. Would have liked to have golfed, course looked amazing, but cold and rain doesn’t suit my game. We did the falconry and it was an unforgettable experience.

Upon arrival was just wow factor staff greeted us & brought us to the hotel. At reception was told room wasn't ready so git upgrade which is always lovely but I had told them was out anniversary so I was expecting something spectacular upon arrival to the room which I didn't get aa out room that we booked was nor ready for us,then when got honour room got knocked on door from staff member foe anniversary chocolate which was nice put I would loven 2 see that in room when we.did arrive & thrn later another knock to add chocolate for anniversary hence as room wasn't ready.Room was fantastic just was dead flys on our window still not acceptable have say.we had booked diner in earl of Edmund dining was just ok menu didn't match what viewed online & staff was all over place when ordered got order wrong way round & had swap over & when I asked for water my husband got the water instead of I.also asked for latte near end of meal and was nowhere to be seen and has ask if on way.just didn't live up what castle should offer & expect of it.upin departure girl asked how was stay I just said was nice now that should been alarms.bells she just didn't seem to care or be curious why was just nice she was just going thru the mill.Then when went pay bill got thay wrong also had dispute that and made phone call to spa make sure I had package deal and should looked at my booking to see that not good enough have say,just very disappointing stay we choose this place for reason for service food and grander and we were both so disappointed which what we received.

Everything about this experience was luxurious but not stuffy. The castle, rooms and grounds were all beautiful, and everyone on the staff was friendly and helpful. A great splurge for a special occasion. We enjoyed the lavish breakfast and dinner in the Earl of Thomond. A special thanks to Denis and John

Visited for a night but wish we'd stayed longer! From the moment we checked in to the time we departed we were truly wowed by the hospitality and hotel. The falconry excursion was a unique and incredible experience. Definitely book ahead for dinner at the Earl of Thomand restaurant, and grab a seat by the fireplace for drinks after.
