We loved the Shaker Village at Pleasant Hill and we will absolutely come back and bring our Texas family and friends with us. I can't say enough wonderful words about our two night stay and the beauty, quietness, peace, and fresh air walking. We had a TV but didn't even think about using it -or our car. We Love you, Shaker Village! Please don't change anything you are doing. Sometimes, we just need to get away from the city, the traffic, the TV, the computers and just breathe fresh air and walk between the quiet relaxing buildings, history, beautiful landscaping and step back into the 200 year old world and sleep in the historical rooms. We loved it and will be back and recommend it to all our Texas friends. (and while we were there, we tried to eat at the Trustee Table restaurant as much as we could for added quiet environment!).

Ich habe in der Gegend Geschäftstätigkeit gehabt, während ich aus Michigan reiste. Dieses Hotel scheint vor kurzem renoviert zu sein, und das Zimmer war sehr hell und sauber. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Was das betrifft, ist der Bau des Hotels. Dies ist einer der meist lauten Orte, an denen ich in den letzten Jahren geblieben habe. Der Fußgängergeräusch von oben, der Klang von Schlammtüren auf und nach der Halle und klare hörbare Stimmen von der Halle und den angrenzenden Zimmern machte das Schlafen sehr schwierig. Ich spreche nicht von 'rody' Leuten, die übermäßiges Lärm verursachen; nur normale Familienaktivitäten und Gespräche sind klar ins Zimmer zu hören. Interessant war, dass es eine große Lücke am Grund der Zimmertür gab, die sicherlich Lärm aus dem Schulen, Wände und Decken scheinen aus einfachem Pflaster oder Plastblätter mit wenig oder keiner Isolierung zu sein, so dass ich Menschen und Fernsehsender von der nächsten Tür, sowie oben und unten von mir klar hören kann. Selbst die Türen, die unter den Treppen geschlossen wurden, waren sehr laut in den Abendstunden. Manchmal klang es wie eine Tyrannosaurus Rex Familie über mich wandte. Dies ist die Art des Zimmerbaus, den ich von einem Red Roof Inn oder einem anderen Haushalt erwarten würde. Hotel, aber die meisten Holiday Inn Express und/oder ähnliche Konkurrenten haben bessere Isolierung und Design-Bedenken für Lärmkontrolle. Leider werde ich nicht wieder dort bleiben können, da es sehr schwierig schlafen war.

Our Driver Polk was outstanding! He was waiting for us on time at the airport upon arrival & welcomed us to Lexington which was so refreshing. I highly recommend this hotels Driver . He was ready each morning to drive us to the site ( corporate) although breakfast was incredibly slow as well as waiting over 20 minutes for coffee and 30 minutes to check out . Our driver made up for the lack of urgency within the hotel .

We stayed 2 nights at Springhill Suites Lexington Fritz Farm. Read on for our pros and cons... (If you found this review useful, please give it a 'thumbs-up'. Thx!) Pros: -Only 5 months old when we stayed there. Modern, clean and new! -Located next to a large newer ***** mall with shopping and dining, easily walkable from the hotel. -Free outdoor (uncovered) parking -Complimentary breakfast of typical hotel breakfast buffet items like oatmeal, plain yogurt, bagels, juice, cold cereals, scrambled eggs, coffee. -Large breakfast seating area off the lobby with TVs. -Gym -Indoor pool (It was COLD, but the front desk said they had a person coming to fix the temperature). -Water bottle fountain fill-up station -Friendly staff -Room featured large TV, iron/board, walk-in closet, desk, hair dryer, microwave, fridge. -Pump bottles of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in the shower. -Half hour drive to Pleasant Hill Shaker Village -Twenty minutes to Camp Nelson Nat'l Monument Cons: -Outside of Lexington -Thin walls -- both nights we could hear kids in the rooms on either side. You'd think being so new, they'd build a hotel with thicker walls. -Weak shower -No complimentary drinks in the lobby -Despite being only 5 months old, things were starting to show some wear, particularly around the bottom of the shower. -Barn door on bathroom -- never a favorite feature. You could have the door open or closed, but not half way. We would stick a tray behind the door to lodge it halfway at night. Barn doors are never very sound proof either. :) -I found the bed a little firm. -Lots of traffic surrounding the area. Some slight road noise in our room. Beautiful facility. The staff is so nice and friendly, from the front desk to the house keepers. Everyone greeted us with a smile. We had a nice stay. The suite we were in was large enough for 5 of us. Very clean. Very nice out door sitting area. Complementary breakfast was hot, I really enjoyed the yogurt bar too.
