Very functional hotel with basic breakfast and a nice quiet park nearby, 20 minutes from Downtown Austin.
I stayed in both a basic room with a queen bed, and a suite (they turned out to be identical), around the Texas Eclipse in April 2024.
Pros:
* Even the most basic room is very functional: desk and ergonomic chair for computer work, mini-fridge, microwave, couch, comfortable bed
* Basic breakfast until 9am: microwaveable burritos and biscuits, hard boiled eggs, milk and cereal, apples, oranges, coffee, juice
* Very helpful staff (held onto my luggage, received packages, printed labels, extended my reservation several times)
* Nice quiet park to walk or jog in, 3 minutes away by foot (the MetCenter Hike & Bike trail). Hardly anybody there every time I went.
* Small fitness room with 3 cardio machines
* $8 shuttle service to the airport, plus free pickup from the airport
* The elevator now works
Cons:
* The WiFi was extremely fast in the lobby, but on the 3rd floor - unstable, and would disconnect briefly several times per hour. Like most other hotels, WiFi also kicks you out 2+ times a day, and you have to login (with the same password). I don't really get the point of this, and if the logout happens during a video call, you're screwed until you reconnect 💥, OR if you're on your phone, it goes on data and chews up bandwidth to handle the video. Microtel, please stop this dumb practice.
* The TV's WiFi worked only on day one (so other devices could connect and cast to it), and never since then.
* The area doesn't have anything interesting within a 5-minute walk, but is a ~15-minute Uber ride to downtown Austin. Ubers take ~5 minutes to arrive. So consider 20 minutes to get to Downtown.
* Walls aren't the thickest so I could hear the neighbors bumping things into them, but overall both rooms were quiet.
* The mattress was a tiny bit squeaky
* Breakfast ends at 9am. Other places have breakfast until 10am.
* The suite may be slightly bigger but I didn't see ANY advantage vs. the basic room. Really not worth the price difference. Exactly the same layout and furniture. Not sure why they charge more for it.

GGuest UserPerfect!! New and SPOTLESS room. Yes, a little small for American standards but more than enough for a short stay. Good breakfast, with healthy options (fruit, good yogurt, omelettes)… my husband would have liked more options but I had to remember him that it’s a 2-star hotel. It did not seem like that, but above 😊
Body soap, shampoo, condicioning and body cream. The only thing that I missed was a hairdryer… I have brought one just in case from some others 2-star hotels reviews. I didn’t ask but I am pretty sure that they would have provided one at your request. The room also had an iron & iron table. Very kind personnel. And… kids stay for free!! We are a family of three but even better deal for a family of four!!
Close to the highway, 15-20 min driving to Capitol and downtown… and perfect location to explore the sorroundings!!

GGastnutzerDas Hotel ist konsequent schön und mit konsequent guter Service. Die Juevo Rancheros, die ich bestellt und an mein Zimmer geliefert hatte, waren unglaublich gut! Und der Kaffee war schön und stark ..... froh, ich bat um zusätzliche Creme und Zucker ! Große Lage in der Nähe der Geschäfte und Geschäfte im Domain. Auch in der Nähe von Voll Foods, H‑E‑B Gemüsegeschäft, Gateway-Filmtheater, und viele gute Restaurants, viele in der Nähe von Spaziergängen.. Große Zimmer, Badezimmer mit Aveda-Produkten. (Schampo, Klimaanlage, Körperwasch, Bar-Seife für Hände) war ein sehr schöner Touch!
Das einzige, was ich nicht mag, war, dass sie kürzlich begonnen haben, für den Selbstparkplatz in ihrem unentdeckten Lot zu zahlen ..... Ich habe $20 auf 1/31/24 gezahlt. Das mag ich überhaupt nicht. Legen Sie einfach den Preis in Ihrer Zimmerpreise und sagen Sie kostenfreie Parkplätze!

Zu Kaffee um 10 Uhr. Plus konnte nicht Wein um 10 Uhr. Ich reise weit. Nur sagen. Vielleicht, wenn ur gehen, um den Kaffee zu schließen, bietet kostenlose Kaffee.

EExpatCambria is a newer hotel amidst the redevelopment projects taking place near Rainey Street, a historic landmark of homes turned into entertainment venues. Cambria is opposite side of the spectrum with innovative decor and relaxation. Note that parking costs 49USD per day with valet access only. We chose not to rent a car based on our needs in Austin. Came to visit my son and his family with my eldest son, so we wanted to have some options near nightlife activities. Local drivers shared info on the changes made to the nearby historic street, and staff was friendly with all needs. The water statiins were a plus. Where I think Cambria can improve is in the price of the rooms, menu items and operation hours of their lobby bar/roof bar since staff was short during our stay. Walking to the entertainment street required the back alley short trek, and that aspect took away from the lush atmosphere of the hotel. Grafitti and Limestone hotel venues can easily adjust their marketung strategies towards in-house entertainment along with the Valet arrangement to flow more smoothly and affordably. It’s a lovely hotel which can become full circle staycation with a few adjustments regarding that aspect. New business developments working alongside grass roots businesses is key to smooth changes for both visitors and long-time locals. The pool atmosphere is great, the gym is clean, and the first floor waiting area an easy meeting spot.

GGuest UserIch war sehr beunruhigt, einen Film mit Nacktheit und eine Szene von einem nackten Mann und einer Frau, die Sex hat (AKA porno) auf der Lobby / Frühstückszimmer TV zu sehen. Ich war noch beunruhigter, als ich den Manager, Diana, gebeten hatte, den Kanal zu ändern, den sie in die Gegend kam, und ich statt nur den Kanal zu etwas geeigneter zu ändern, Der Mann fragte mich, ob es ihr gut wäre, den Kanal zu ändern, als ob etwas wie das für eine Abstimmung unter den Gästen statt der Hotelpolitik. Ich war wütend, dass sie falsch behandelte, wäre eine Unterbewertung. Trotz der Tatsache, dass ich in diesem Hampton mindestens ein halbes Dutzend Mal im letzten Jahr geblieben habe oder so.
Ich werde nicht zurückkommen. Halten Sie das öffentliche Fernsehen aus und lernen Manager, wie man sich mit Unternehmensfragen umgehen würde, wäre mein Vorschlag Hampton/Hilton.
Andernfalls ist die Lage gut und die Zimmer sind sauber. Zu schlecht erlaubt sie unrein Programmierung auf ihrem Fernsehen im öffentlichen Raum zu spielen. Glücklicherweise waren da zu der Zeit keine Kinder.

Ccameron winkAbsolut erstaunlich Resort! Restaurant, Pool und Spa, Sie müssen nie verlassen! Der beste Teil ist einfach der Service aber. Sie sind immer so groß hier und sie gehen definitiv oben und weiter in ihrem persönlichen Service für Sie den Kunden.
Sie haben ein tolles Restaurant und eine Bar! Das Essen ist gut und die Bars sind immer offen und bereit zu servieren!
Meine einzige Beschwerde war, dass es nicht beschäftigt war und sie das Restaurant früh geschlossen .....das ich bekomme, aber ich fühlte mich fast wie sie uns rausgeschnappt. Es war aber gut und wir waren froh, die andere Bar zu treffen, so dass das Personal nach Hause gehen konnte, da es nur zwei Leute da waren.

Freundlich einchecken , Pool ist perfekt für Sommerwetter! Gibt Reinigung ein 4-Bc-Wäsche nicht am ersten Tag funktionierte und wenn man einen Piloten zu beheben, muss er ausgehen und kaufen ein Teil, das ersetzt werden muss, weil nicht gepflegt. Hat sich ein halbes Tage lang befestigt und konnte nicht den Schlafzimmern zu 💩 verwenden
Nachdem ein neuer Teil installiert wurde, wurde die Toilette geflüssigt und manchmal gefangen, so dass wir das Wasser vom Untergrund des Toilettes drehen und umdrehen für die Fäzes zu flüssigen 😩
Anderenfalls waren wir auf vielen Standorten geschlossen, die auf Lime-Light-Scooter beurteilt werden können. Freunde Lobby halten unsere Taschen letztes Tages für uns zu erkunden und wir sind genügend nett, um vorverstempelte Postkarten zu liefern ♥️
