Super
CCOTraveller33Stayed here 3 nights on a visit to Lovell FHCC (15 minutes down the road). Nice Hampton Inn. Friendly staff, decent breakfast. Standard all around. Positives. Nice warm breakfast. Very friendly staff. Close to restaurants & Lovell FHCC. Bed was excellent, and warm. Pillows were ok. Thermostat - yes! in a Chicago snow storm this was key. Fridge - nice to have for sure. Negatives -y The lamp on the desk was odd. The lampshade was huge, and it wasn't adjustable - so basically was in the way. the shower is rather narrow, and you have to be sure to have both doors closed when starting it -- or the floor gets soaked. Towels - cheap hotel ones. Toilet paper - like boot camp sandpaper There isn't a lot to eat nearby, so head into downtown Libertyville - Mickey Finn's is a great spot for one. Would recommend: Yes Would re-patronize: Possible
GGuest UserNice renovated hotel, near I-94 , O’Hare airport and Six Flags Great America.
This hotel is clean, roomy and comfortable , and the front desk was professional, especially Mr. Habram, he’s very polite and friendly. They provided free coffee every morning, although it’s free, but the quality is still good. Definitely will come back to this hotel!
The hotel is nice and my staff experience was phenomenal. Front and breakfast staff. My issue with this place is the smell of cigarettes throughout one particular floor even in the room. Also the air conditioner unit is very very loud. So loud you can't sleep. The water in the room was very dirty and no hot water. We had to move our room and was told it was the entire side of the building concerning the hot water. Which was wayyyyyy on the other side of the building. We also had housekeeping repeatedly try to enter our room on check out day. The do not disturb placard was on the door. Check out time was 12 this happened twice before 9am.
Rented hotel with the 40% special making a one night stay 94$ per night. I made a reservation for two individual nights at this resort through their website. It was total of 288.00 which they forced me to pay half up front and half at check in so they can charge me per night which was not necessary. I would have paid one time so I wasn’t forced to pay their staggering hotel fees of 34.99 each night totaling 69.98. They already charged me twice for taxes in my multiple night reservation as they would if I booked by the day, totaling 7.74 and 7.52 per night times 2. That’s ok But the fees were 69.98 for two days for amenties they didnt even offer us. There was no safe in the room, ww didn’t use their wifi, the fridge was broken, spent one hour of our hotel stay in the pool area, and we didn’t utilize activities for kids because we have none. On top of that I had to pay 30$ for parking my vehicle in addition and another $15 for the locker because they had no safes in the room to secure our belongings.Upon arrival, they charged me for the whole stay, instead of waiting till check out. They pre assigned us our room that had no patio access before we arrived and upon checking online there is no upcharge for a room facing the car lot with a patio, prices are exactly the same. I requested a room with a patio on the first floor to have easier access to my vehicle they charged me another $30 to upgrade making our final bill $354.50 total broken down into two parts charging us for the two night reservation on top of the $15 bucks for additional locker usage. The don’t offer you to pay for an hours time while using the locker, youre forced to pay for a whole day of isage even though we spent 45-1 hrs time in the pool area. they demand you put prepay down a 100$ deposit to charge the card on file while staying there, which is bullcrap. on top of that they charged me additional $30 dollars to move to a room with a patio 15 per night even though there is no up charge. They charged me a total of 288.50 dividing it into two payments so they can charged me per night taxes and fees and it was $354.50 for two days at 94 a night! WTH! They also took it upon themselves to eneter the room when we weren’t there to apparentely carpet clean even though we had a do not disturb sign on the door, they came in a got the floors all wet and touched all of our belongings and left the room smelling foul and super musty to the point we couldn’t bare it. the whole floor was soaking wet and they offered nothing to us in return like we made it up. we left our belongings a certain way and the lights all off then we come back and our stuff is rummaged through and the entire floor soaking wet. no accommodation by the hotel team at all, I ask to extend our check out for one hour in the am and they told me $89.99 to extend and I mentioned the $69 night extension slip that they stuck under my door and they told me it was total 140.99 if I wanted to extend the night! They are scam artists a
We check in a day before our reservation. We came in town for our son's Sweet 16th Birthday to celebrate at six flags. The best part of the trip sadly was not 6 Flags, but the kind and very generous staff here. They went above and beyond. From checking in tired after a long drive, to Saturday morning before we left for the park, and Sunday when we left. They had great hospitality skills and made you feel like family, not just another number. The manager and staff allowed us to have pizza and cake for our son because the park does not accommodate. They went above and beyond the scope of being helpful. I couldn't of asked for a better experience. A third of the year we stay in hotels or at resorts. The lady who worked October 21st 3-11 shift, October 22nd days 7-3, October 23rd days was an absolute gem. She is an asset! Do everything you can to retain employees like this. They are far and few between. After we had pizza and cake she went above the scope of customer service to let us know the park was at capacity and people were walking in groups to get in. It was almost like something out of a movie. Just her care and attentiveness looking out for the guests and families was so super thoughtful. The food was great, the bed was comfortable and clean, and the staff was absolutely amazing. What more can you ask for in a stay? Grateful and thankful. When in Gurnee, we will be staying here. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality. Tip to other guests: I don't read other comments just merely want to express a hotel is a place to stay at. Not a free babysitting service, not a resort, and not your home. Please pick up after yourself when you leave, clear floors in bedroom and bathroom (think of how you expect your house to look) a hotel is no different. If trash is overflowing throw it away, pick up towels leave them on a sink all in one area. It is no ones job to clean up after you or the mess you make. Watch your kids. be thoughtful and considerate of others with noises and mitigate complaints. If the price is too expensive for you maybe a Super 8 would be the way to go or simply stay at home if you want to look for things to find and complain about. Hotel workers work doubles, nights, mornings- based off customer needs (operating at full capacity) and do everything from resolving complaints, check rooms, help housekeeping, maintenance, breakfast associates while answering the phones, checking guests in, and tending to the hotels needs and guests needs. Work one day in their shoes, it is a life changing perspective. Thank you sincerely, -April :)
