Great stay! We had a family reunion at a nearby hotel that had AC issues (it was 100 degrees + the day of check-in). Luckily the Home2Suites saved the day! Great mini-kitchen setup (no stoves but no big deal - everything else you need is there), quiet indoor pool and grill area with umbrellas and tables. Walking distance to TGIF Fridays, Olive Garden, McDonalds and Sheetz. Loved it and will definitely stay there again! Shout out to Kristopher who made the transition from hotel to hotel in the midst of a reunion seamless. He was so great a few of our family members moved from the old hotel to this one. You can't put a price on great customer service but you can write a glowing review when professionals excel at it :-).

Last minute one night stay. In town for kids sports event, decided to book the morning of, rather than drive over 2.5hrs each way home and back again. Simply put - this property should NOT bear the Marriott name. It is disgusting. Period. Rooms are outdated and dirty. Sidewalks are all uneven. Pool is extremely small, more like an over-sized hot tub, with a clearly unmaintained walking area around it. Buildings are clearly old, as if stuck in time from when this apartment-style hotel was in its prime. Not today! Had my entire family with me, so we paid the extra $$ for the two bedroom “penthouse” (as described in the Marriott app), only to find out it is really just an outdated second floor room with a loft and extra bathroom upstairs. Not a big deal, we needed the space. But the notion that this room is a penthouse, is laughable at best. The first room we checked into wreaked of ********* and cigarette smoke. We hadn’t even crossed the door threshold before being greeted by that awful smell. A quick call to the front desk yielded the usual apologies, and we were promptly relocated to another room. We did not stay in the first room long enough to even tell if it was clean. Unfortunately at that point, based on the property being so outdated, and the disgusting smell of first room, our expectation of the next room was pretty low - just don’t stink. While the second room did not smell as bad as the first, it was clearly a room that had previous issues…. The door and door jamb showed clear indications that this room had been broken into, perhaps repeatedly. The door hardware had clearly come off and had been reattached multiple times based on the amount of screw holes. The “safety” latch on the top was so loose that it came off in my hand while I was checking to see how bad it was. When I called the front desk to have it repaired, I was advised that maintenance had departed for the day and it would be addressed in the morning. I ended up using the butter knife from the kitchen to reattach it with the screws - it was actually tighter than it was when we checked in. Since my wife was not completely comfortable with that, we opted to buy a door security bar from Walmart as an extra precaution. It baffles me that Marriott is aware of this condition and has simply chosen to reattach the hardware rather than redo the door frame, and replace the entire door. Aside from the door, the room is simply as outdated as the rest of the property is. The decor is old. The plastic shower hardware is barely holding on. The red chair in the main room has several stains on it. Flipping the seat cushion only revealed more stains. We pushed it into a corner and didn’t use it, not even setting our bags on it. At that point, being as late as it was, we simply just set our mind to minimum expectations and hoped for a decent night of sleep, which we got. Can’t say that the beds were comfortable - they were not; can’t say it was quiet - it was not because the AC sounded

Ich blieb hier die Nacht vor einem sehr frühen Fliegen aus RIC. Die junge Dame am Frontdesk schien sehr verwirrt, als wir ankamen. Wir hatten vor der Zeit durch die App angemeldet und brauchten nur unseren Schlüssel zu holen. Zunächst konnte sie unsere Buchung im System nicht finden. Als ich ihr sagte, wir hatten online angemeldet, fand sie endlich einen Schlüssel in einem Box auf der Seite. Wir gingen ins Zimmer, entladen unsere Sachen, dann gingen wir zum Abendessen. Ich bemerkte, dass der Name auf der Rückseite unserer Zimmerkartenschleife nicht meins war. So habe ich wieder auf dem Desktop .... gestoppt und zeigt, dass sie uns den falschen Zimmerschlüssel gegeben hatte, so dass wir im falschen Zimmer waren. Sie wusste nicht wirklich, wie das zu korrigieren, und ihre Antwort war im Grunde ”oh gut”. Glücklicherweise setzte ich mich weiterhin darum, es zu korrigieren, und der Manager kam endlich vorbei und machte den Wandel. Glücklicherweise kamen in unserem Zimmer keine anderen Gäste auf, und denken, es war ihres.

Where do I begin? If you’re thinking about coming to Courtyard Marriot Bonvoy (RIC Airport) in Sandston, VA, please re-think! I call this Marriott, the ghetto Marriott. It looks old, dingy and rundown. No perks with this Marriott…just basic amenities. The coin-operated washing machine half-way worked. I programmed the machine to wash my black clothes using cold water. The “cold” water came out super hot! The weirdest thing about my stay is when I requested a wheelchair accessible room. These type rooms are supposedly equipped with rolled out showers. No, not in this Marriott. My 333 handicap room came equipped with a bathtub…what brainiac thought of that? The whole hotel has a filth to it. I expect such a filth of a hotel from a motel, but this is Marriott. I expect a foreign hotel to look as rundown as this place, but I kept saying to myself, “But…this is Marriott.” Never again will I stay in this place. I was a guest here, but housekeeping treated me as if I were a squatter (even squatters have rights, but I digress!) My whole reason for booking my stay here? I was looking for a touch of luxury, but got da hood instead. I will never ever again stay at this Marriott…

All I needed was a clean comfortable bed, WiFi, shower and the ability to make coffee in the morning. This Motel 6 ticked all the boxes. The staff that I spoke to during my 7 or so day stay were great, the room was clean with no trace of wildlife of any sort in there. Bed was comfortable, and the area was quiet enough for me to get a decent sleep. I've seen some terrible reviews of this motel, but I'm glad to say that none of the complaints from those applied to my visit! I'd be happy to stay here again! :D

Die Lage des Hotels ist gut, die Einrichtungen sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Nur der Geruch des Zimmers. Die Schalldämmung ist nicht gut. Der Service ist gut. Der Flughafenbus ist sehr praktisch. Bleiben Sie nur eine Nacht, es ist in Ordnung.
